Now the not-so-good. Party was of 5, waiter told us dining was family style (this is not correct). Dish sizes are far too small to be shared family style. For reference, I would recommend at least 1 appetizer and 1 entrée per person. If you’re a party of 2, sharing makes sense.
I’ve dined at small bites family sharing restaurants before, but they keep the menu with you to keep ordering (it was explained to us to order everything at once, then menus were taken).
Service was a bit slow. There also should have been multiple water bottles for our table instead of one, as we ran out quickly.
There are mosquitoes, but restaurant offers bug spray and does good job with fire and smoke to keep bugs away.
TLDR, great food and atmosphere, left hungry.
Our server was great and took the time to explain each dish, which made the whole experience even better. Then came the main dish: the BERKSHIRE PIG “MATAMBRE”. It was brought out by the head chef and owner, Guillermo, who personally described it to us. You could tell how much he cares about his food and making sure guests have a great experience. That kind of passion is rare and really stood out.
To top it off, the general manager came by at the end to check in and make sure everything was perfect. He even asked if there was anything they could improve next time—which honestly, there wasn’t. The ambiance was awesome, the food was next-level, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated.
This place is a gem. If you’re on the fence, go. You won’t regret it.
The service left something to be desired.
We had chosen against the set prefixed menu of 1800 pesos pp as we weren’t too hungry and decided to order a handful of dishes to share. It seems they were only focused on those participating in the prefixed option. And while we didn’t spend as much as the prefix would have been, our bill was not without a decent spend.
Our food was delivered by a food runner, we were never checked on by our waitress or any other staff for additional drinks or even provided the option to order more food in the 1.5 hours we sat at the table.
We wanted to love this place but were incredibly disappointed by the experience.
Our first visit to Limo was nothing short of extraordinary. From start to finish, the service was impeccable and every detail thoughtfully executed. Each cocktail and dish showcased remarkable flavor and presentation — the steak was perfectly prepared, and the Tormenta mezcal cocktail was simply sublime. A truly memorable dining experience — we’ll certainly return.
