From the opening whistle — or in this case, the first bite — you know you’re in for something remarkable.
Chicken Ramen: A Long, Perfect Drive
Imagine a Notre Dame offense that methodically marches down the field with discipline, precision, and power. That’s exactly what the chicken ramen bowl delivers. The broth is rich and deep, like an offensive line that wins every gap; the noodles are perfectly textured, perfectly tuned; and the chicken is crispy but balanced, a star playmaker in every sense. Reviews from locals echo that the ramen is generous and deeply satisfying, the kind of dish that makes you nod and smile in approval.
You feel it warming you from the inside out — just like a classic Irish ground game that grinds down the clock and scores on a 12-play drive with a roar from the crowd.
Sushi Rolls: Precision and Flair
Now picture Notre Dame’s defense locking down opponents with athleticism and smarts — the secondary making play after play. That’s what the sushi here feels like: fresh, crisp, and beautifully executed. Each piece lands with purpose, with clean flavors and expert balance. It’s the kind of performance only a team with discipline and talent can pull off.
Fans walk away talking about it — like when Notre Dame’s stars get unanimous All-American honors — a flashy but fundamentally earned recognition.
️ Vibe & Atmosphere – Game Day Quality
Walking into Lime House is like showing up for a night game at Notre Dame Stadium. There’s an energy that feels classic and confident — no gimmicks, just top-tier performance. Guests feel welcomed, comfortable, and excited for what’s coming next. It’s a place that builds tradition on every seating — a go-to spot, week after week, season after season.
Even the restaurant’s growth — expanding to multiple locations — feels like a program on the rise, following a winning blueprint that brings fans along for the ride.
Final Whistle: A Five-Star Run
If Lime House were a Notre Dame season, it’d be the year they make a deep playoff run — every unit firing, every fan fired up, and every performance just a little bit more exciting than the last. There’s an undeniable consistency to the quality here that feels like a team clicking on all cylinders.
No punts. No hesitation. Just sweet victory after delicious victory.
Whether you’re on sushi or ramen, this is Notre Dame-level execution — bold, confident, and unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a winning meal.
My son and daughter went tonight and had a similar experience. My daughter-in-law is a vegetarian and thought that the menu afforded her many options. She chose the sweet potato sushi and said it was just great.
If you are craving ramen or sushi check out Lime House, I don’t think you will be disappointed.
My most recent visit I was not given the typical utensils (mini ladle and a fork) and I’m not sure if that was an oversight or if you’re supposed to grab the plastic utensils at the counter now, which is what I did. None of the tables were wiped down and there was no AC on. I also got a boba tea as I usually do and the boba was rock hard in the center. I only share this experience because had it been my first visit it may have put me off a bit, and I don’t want to see other people have their first experience subpar and not come back. But I’ve been there so many times and the food is so delicious I really don’t care. I’m a customer for life and I hope this restaurant gets the success it deserves.
My friend and I visited on a Saturday night. It wasn’t busy. I rated food 2 stars because the ramen was luke warm and not hot. I ordered Pork Tonkutsu (spelling?) and I recieved chewy chunks of pork rather than slices. The broth not very flavorful and it was so luke warm that the noodles were stiff. We asked for salt and they said they didn’t have any. Their chili oil wasn’t great either.
