From the first bite, Lime House Sushi & Ramen hits you with the same swagger and confidence as Notre Dame Fighting Irish when they take the field in South Bend — a team with tradition, talent, and the fire to dominate every possession. Notre Dame has recently shown it can go toe-to-toe with any opponent, securing historic playoff wins and setting records with explosive performances that fire up fans everywhere. That same kind of championship-level energy shows up in every dish at Lime House.
From the opening whistle — or in this case, the first bite — you know you’re in for something remarkable.
Chicken Ramen: A Long, Perfect Drive
Imagine a Notre Dame offense that methodically marches down the field with discipline, precision, and power. That’s exactly what the chicken ramen bowl delivers. The broth is rich and deep, like an offensive line that wins every gap; the noodles are perfectly textured, perfectly tuned; and the chicken is crispy but balanced, a star playmaker in every sense. Reviews from locals echo that the ramen is generous and deeply satisfying, the kind of dish that makes you nod and smile in approval.
You feel it warming you from the inside out — just like a classic Irish ground game that grinds down the clock and scores on a 12-play drive with a roar from the crowd.
Sushi Rolls: Precision and Flair
Now picture Notre Dame’s defense locking down opponents with athleticism and smarts — the secondary making play after play. That’s what the sushi here feels like: fresh, crisp, and beautifully executed. Each piece lands with purpose, with clean flavors and expert balance. It’s the kind of performance only a team with discipline and talent can pull off.
Fans walk away talking about it — like when Notre Dame’s stars get unanimous All-American honors — a flashy but fundamentally earned recognition.
️ Vibe & Atmosphere – Game Day Quality
Walking into Lime House is like showing up for a night game at Notre Dame Stadium. There’s an energy that feels classic and confident — no gimmicks, just top-tier performance. Guests feel welcomed, comfortable, and excited for what’s coming next. It’s a place that builds tradition on every seating — a go-to spot, week after week, season after season.
Even the restaurant’s growth — expanding to multiple locations — feels like a program on the rise, following a winning blueprint that brings fans along for the ride.
Final Whistle: A Five-Star Run
If Lime House were a Notre Dame season, it’d be the year they make a deep playoff run — every unit firing, every fan fired up, and every performance just a little bit more exciting than the last. There’s an undeniable consistency to the quality here that feels like a team clicking on all cylinders.
No punts. No hesitation. Just sweet victory after delicious victory.

Whether you’re on sushi or ramen, this is Notre Dame-level execution — bold, confident, and unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a winning meal.

Some of the best ramen I’ve ever had in WNY, the sushi was also outstanding. No staff at the counter/register when I walked in, and it took about 5 minutes for someone to come out from the back. It’s a tidy interior, but austere, although it has sit down seating, it’s more for a quick bite and not really a dining experience

Great food, great ambience and great people. Lots of variety with many options to choose from. My personal go to is the Salmon Combo and the Rainbow Roll with a spicy mayo on the side. Unfortunately, no breakfast menu but I think I’ll live

The first time I visited the Hamburg, NY location, the menu was very limited for me due to my seafood allergies. so I didn’t plan on returning. However, my family loved their ramen bowls and they were huge, which my growing teenage son raved about! ◡̈ After receiving an email recently about their new chicken menu, I stopped by for lunch to try it out. I ordered the tempura chicken burrito and it is amazing, as are their boba drinks! I liked how the roll was made uramaki style. (1st photo – I included photos from my initial visit as well) The atmosphere is modern and the restaurant itself is immaculate. The staff is super friendly, accommodating and helpful for those with food allergies. I only wish it wasn’t so pricey. It is family owned and if you have the time, read about the owner’s backstory.

My wife and I visited the new Williamsville location and had a wonderful dinner. The meals were fresh and bountiful. The service was spot on too.

My son and daughter went tonight and had a similar experience. My daughter-in-law is a vegetarian and thought that the menu afforded her many options. She chose the sweet potato sushi and said it was just great.

If you are craving ramen or sushi check out Lime House, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

I moved to the Buffalo area a few years ago and this quickly became one of my favorite restaurants in the entire area. After having to move away I now long for it all the time! Whenever I can visit the area I make sure to stop here. It’s the best ramen I’ve ever had. My go to choice is the coconut ramen with crispy chicken. I visited a couple days ago and noticed their menu is set up a little differently so I don’t remember the other broth I used to get that was originally in the crispy chicken ramen, but I really don’t think you can go wrong here. The flavors are incredible and every sip I found myself saying, “god, this is so good.” The chicken is so flavorful and tender, whoever is cooking does a fantastic job. The sushi and dumplings are just okay in my opinion, but not bad by any means.
My most recent visit I was not given the typical utensils (mini ladle and a fork) and I’m not sure if that was an oversight or if you’re supposed to grab the plastic utensils at the counter now, which is what I did. None of the tables were wiped down and there was no AC on. I also got a boba tea as I usually do and the boba was rock hard in the center. I only share this experience because had it been my first visit it may have put me off a bit, and I don’t want to see other people have their first experience subpar and not come back. But I’ve been there so many times and the food is so delicious I really don’t care. I’m a customer for life and I hope this restaurant gets the success it deserves.

I love going to this place. I’ve tried a few of the ramen bowls and probably eight or so different sushi rolls and have yet to be disappointed. You won’t wait long for your food, and if you’re in a rush you can grab sushi from the display case. The food is reasonably priced – I’d like to see some of the options be a couple dollars cheaper but wouldn’t we all. The staff are also all extremely friendly. In conclusion, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Quiet place for a quick bite. Staff was really friendly and food came out promptly.
My friend and I visited on a Saturday night. It wasn’t busy. I rated food 2 stars because the ramen was luke warm and not hot. I ordered Pork Tonkutsu (spelling?) and I recieved chewy chunks of pork rather than slices. The broth not very flavorful and it was so luke warm that the noodles were stiff. We asked for salt and they said they didn’t have any. Their chili oil wasn’t great either.
