This is our first time at Lima Tavern, and it won’t be the last. We found it through the AAdvantage Dining Program, and we can’t be any happier.
If you like authentic Peruvian cuisine, don’t miss it. The food was excellent! We started with the Papas a la Huancaina, a classic, five stars. I ordered the Tallarines Verdes con Asado (Peruvian Pesto Noodles with Steak), and it was delicious. César, our server, told us that it takes time because everything is prepared fresh, so the wait was super worth it.
My wife ordered a Quinoa Salad with Chicken; she really liked it. We didn’t know quinoa originated in Peru, but now we do.

Cesar was always attentive and often came to our table to ensure we had everything.
Overall, we had a great time, and we hope to return soon to try the ceviche and many other dishes.

If you’re looking for authentic Peruvian food, Lima Taverna is the place to go. I’ve eaten at many Peruvian restaurants before, and their ceviche is honestly unmatched. So fresh and full of flavor.

I had the Lomo Saltado and it was really, really good. Everything we tried was delicious. The people who work there were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

We celebrated our anniversary there and they truly made it memorable. And do not skip the pisco sour — best drink ever.

Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but you definitely get what you pay for. The food is top notch and worth it. I loved everything about this place and will definitely be back.

Lima Taverna is outstanding. The Peruvian food is full of flavor and perfectly executed. The Argentine menu is simple and direct in the best way similar to what you would expect from a Michelin level kitchen. Every dish tastes intentional and refined. The staff is amazing and genuinely kind and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. An easy place to recommend and one I would happily return to.

My family and I have been to probably every Peruvian restaurant in the DFW area, and this one is by far the best. The atmosphere, service, and food are top notch! Caesar took great care of us, and was very friendly. We ordered 2 orders of Ceviche Traditional, 2 orders of Chorros à la chalaca for appetizers. I ate the Lomo Saltado- the steak (I got cooked medium) was SO tender you could pull it apart. For desert we had Picarones for dessert, and they were so tasty. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you Caesar for the wonderful service and food!

Lima tarverna is now our favorite Peruvian restaurant in Dallas! We have tried different Peruvian restaurants and this beats all of them, in terms of food quality, variety of food, service and atmosphere! Cesar was a great server and super knowledgeable about the dishes. Thank you Cesar!

We had an excellent experience at Lima Taverna in Plano. From start to finish, everything was wonderful. I started with the empanada appetizer and an Inca Cola, and for my main course I had the ají de gallina, which was rich, comforting, and beautifully served.

Our waiter, Caesar, was attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely courteous, especially impressive since there were 11 of us dining together. We were celebrating my mother-in-law’s 90th birthday, and the entire experience felt special and memorable for everyone at the table.

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm yet upscale feeling, and the Peruvian cuisine truly stood out. A fantastic meal and a wonderful memory for our family!

It was my first time going after researching where to find great Peruvian food. What first caught my attention was how beautiful the restaurant looked, and indeed it was. I highly recommend it for the freshness of its ingredients — the passion fruit juice was exquisite. César’s service was excellent, very knowledgeable, and he made us feel right at home. We will definitely be coming back. Greetings from Austin, Texas.

Stopped in for dinner. Was a little worried when I arrived to see only one other table being served. By the time we got our food a few more tables filled up.

They started us with some complementary hot bread and butter. Tried three dishes (Chaufa de Pollo, Jalea Limena, and Chicharrones) and was not disappointed. The salsa criolla was something I’ve never had before and I thought it was really refreshing. While others might say well seasoned, I did think the dishes were a bit heavy handed with the salt.

Would like to go back and try something from their Ceviche menu.

Great atmosphere and the wait staff is attentive. We drive from McKinney almost weekly to have this authentic Peruvian food. My husband is Peruvian and he loves it here. Highly recommend! Oh and the pica y rasca drink is amazing if you like your cocktails a little spicy!

Taverna Lima delivers a feast for the senses where Peruvian tradition meets artistic presentation and unforgettable flavor.

From the moment the plate arrives, it’s clear that Taverna Lima isn’t just serving food it’s telling a story. The dish in the photo, a stunning rendition of Lomo Saltado, is a masterclass in culinary elegance. The beef is tender and richly coated in a savory, soy-infused sauce that clings lovingly to sautéed red onions and sweet peppers, creating a harmony of textures and flavors. Thick-cut potato wedges add a golden crispness, while the molded white rice stands tall like a proud monument to tradition crowned with a delicate purple orchid that whispers of Lima’s floral soul.

What sets this experience apart is the attention to detail. The plating is not just beautiful it’s poetic. Every element feels intentional, from the vibrant color palette to the balance of textures. It’s a dish that honors Peru’s multicultural culinary heritage, blending Chinese stir-fry technique with Andean ingredients in a way that feels both authentic and elevated.

The ambiance at Taverna Lima matches the plate’s sophistication. Nestled in Plano, this gem offers a warm, vibrant atmosphere with live music and heartfelt hospitality. The staff treats you like family, and the menu is a celebration of Peru’s rich flavors from ceviche to Maracuyá, each item crafted with imported ingredients that preserve the soul of the cuisine.

Whether you’re a seasoned lover of Peruvian food or a curious newcomer, Taverna Lima is a must visit. It’s not just a meal,it’s a cultural immersion, a visual delight, and a flavorful journey that lingers long after the last bite.
