Lilith is a cozy restaurant; the result of many years of work and dreaming from Chefs Jamilka Borges and Dianne DeStefano. After meeting and working together in Pittsburgh’s best restaurants, they decided to make their dream of running and operating a restaurant together a reality.Lilith is a vibrant, fun, intimate and sometimes loud restaurant where you can celebrate life with friends and loved ones. We take pride in making mostly everything from scratch from our stocksand sauces to breads and pastry; there is a lot of work and love happening at Lilith.

I went with a friend and we had such a magical night. The location is incredible and feels secret + special. The food + desert was absolutely outstanding not only flavor -wise but presentation as well. Unique and creative and satisfying flavor matches. Went for the fall menu during November and the vibes were immaculate. The space is decorated so well with divine feminine power energy. Very welcoming, very homey, very upscale + nyc vibes. Feel lucky to have this gem in my city <3 a strange occurrence happened due to another tables medical issue and the owners were so lovely and came to our table to apologize and made up for it in so many ways for us. Their customer service goes above and beyond. There is also a ton of street parking in the area just give yourself enough time to find it!

Even in a city as restaurant gifted as Pittsburgh, this is a beautifully curated gem! As others mention, it is a small venue so definitely make a reservation. We went for my birthday and from the moment that they greet you at the door, it’s low key and comfortable while still providing an extremely high quality dining experience. Our server was fantastic and perfectly balanced attentiveness and timing. The food is top notch and carefully layered with flavor and texture. The focaccia and whipped ricotta is delicious and certainly sets your expectation for what’s to come. We had the skate wing and halibut and highly recommend both. The drinks were perfect as well, and even though it’s a smaller space, the seating allows for private conversations. This is just a smart and tasteful restaurant, providing a thoroughly enjoyable evening overall between the ambience, the service, and the food itself. Lastly, the rhubarb baked Alaska is simply divine and I’m not even partial to sweets. It was so excellently executed, it just became my favorite dessert. Thank you for making my night so special! We’ll be back!

My husband and I went to Lilith this evening to celebrate our anniversary. I typically don’t like to spend money at restaurants because I end up being disappointed, but that was not the case here. Our server, Eleanor, was phenomenal. She went above and beyond to make our dinner celebration special. The food was exquisite, with incredible layers of flavor that never got old. If I could give one minor critique, it would be about the lack of tenderness of the filet. It won’t keep me from returning though-Anytime I am in the mood for a hugh end dinner, this will be my go to. Thank you, Lilith! Best experience ever.

One of the most glorious dining experiences of my time living in Pittsburgh. Every aspect was attended to, in ways that I didn’t expect or require. How they anticipated EVERY single facet of our visit is a testament to their attention to detail, precision and ultimate quality. We had numerous courses, each one as stellar as the next. The quaint exterior calms you, walk inside; warmly greeted by a competent staff, willingly engaged in the overall experience. Enough with my flowery expose. Go. Expect to be encouraged to have a glamorous and worldly time by the gentle staff. They know what they’re doing, let them guide on your sublime culinary journey while you’re here. My husband and I went here for Valentine’s Day dinner on 2/12 and had the best time. It was perfect. Our server was extremely kind, attentive, and helpful. We both got a drink, the lobster rolls, an entree (myself, Skate, my husband, Halibut), and the sticky toffee pudding. It was all so good! I thought the dishes were creative and also tasty. we had such a great time and the food was wonderful. my skate was perfectly cooked and the oysters with passionfruit mignonette were amazing!!
my friend is gluten free and they were so accommodating. they even offered to make the lobster roll on gluten free bread and brought out a gluten free bread service! my friend said the gluten free bread was great and they were so happy to have really beautiful and varied options for dinner.
we were celebrating my friends recent divorce being finalized and the staff there gave them a very sweet card of congratulations. i’m so grateful for the effort everyone made to make our experience so special!

Overall, it’s not bad. And I was curious because this restaurant is getting attention. The location has been intriguing for others that have used because it is unassuming and ‘hidden’ as has been said. I admit that the food for me may be something I’m not understanding totally. There is a grouping of American flavor profiles that this place reminds me of trends like ‘gluten free’ or ‘low salt’ or ‘unsaturated fats’ or vegan or apple cider vinegar as a catch-all popular ‘healthy’ formula of cooking. All the gymnastics done by food companies to gesture a favor IS a style of cooking. Somehow I imagined these trends in the food at Lilith, real or not. The classic: salt, fat, sugar strategy is where I come from and often my yardstick. It that regard, there others that have designed a menu more to my preferences. But new food ideas do exist and maybe that’s more the path for Lilith. I saw they are opening another location: often the popular critical error in restaurants that lead to they demise. Good luck.

As a Shadyside local, I’m so happy to have Lilith in the neighborhood! We loved all of our appetizers, the spaghetti was delicious, and the baked Alaska was beyond incredible. Great food, great service – such a fun date night spot. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Been to many restaurants in Pittsburgh and this one blows everything else out of the water. From the outside, this place is very unassuming, but once you enter, you’re immediately welcomed by a cozy, friendly atmosphere. The staff are warm and welcoming and the interior decor consists of thoughtful touches and a unique design. It is small but very intimate and sweet. The food is incredible (from the focaccia to the oysters to the Japanese sweet potato, lobster rolls) and the beef filet is perfectly cooked. We loved our passion fruit cocktails. The pistachio cake was divine. This place deserves high praise and I can’t wait to come back and try their other menu items!

Every aspect of Lilith was amazing from the service to the food!
When I got there at 8:00 the restaurant was packed but they were still able to seat me in 15 minutes and for as busy as they were chef Borges still found time to walk around and check on all of the guest.
I’m looking forward to returning on my next trip to Pittsburgh!
