I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Who would’ve thought there would be a soul food restaurant smack dab in the middle of Napa Valley. It was the smell of the catfish that brought us in. We had reservations at another restaurant and canceled immediately! I had the oxtail and my sister friend had the catfish. We tasted each other’s. Needless to say my sister friend ordered oxtails to go. Catfish was seasoned to perfection. The Mac and cheese was cheesy and well seasoned. The greens tasted like grandma had prepared them for Sunday dinner. The sweet potato corn muffins were magical. The right hint of sweetness with a soft moist, yet crispy finish. We also got a few appetizers. We got the deviled eggs flight topped with caviar, crab meat and smoked salmon. I had the caviar and crabmeat which was good. The lobster bites were delicious by themselves, but my sister friend loved the sauces. The sauces were a garlic aioli, and the other was the hot honey sauce. For dessert we had the 7up lemon cake, and the peach cobbler. OUTSTANDING!!!! We tried to go back the following day for brunch, but there was a wait. We were a bit disappointed because we wanted to experience this good, home cooking one more time before leaving Napa Valley. This is a must visit! Please support. I hope to visit again on my next holiday!

This was our first time visiting. We went for the all you can eat sunday brunch, which was $80 per person. There were quite a bit of options. If you’re not a big eater, you probably won’t get your money’s worth, but the food was delicious. The service was very good. The ambiance was great. There was a DJ in the corner playing music.
We’ll probably come back on another day to try out their regular menu. We probably ended up eating around 2 o’clock and after we were done all I wanted to do was sleep. I was so full, the rest of the night I ended up not eating anything.
On our plate, there was cornbread, pound cake, Mac and cheese, greens, potatoes, bacon, sausage, rice, oxtails, shrimp and grits, gumbo, and crab legs. Our dessert was the best peach cobbler I’ve ever had. The other things that were offered but we didn’t get due to being stuffed was the omelet station, and the chicken and waffle station. Drinks were a variety of water, orange juice, cranberry juice, apple juice, sweet tea, lemonade, mimosas and champagne.

Our party of 14 enjoyed our first experience at Lil Sista’s Goody’s in Napa! The food was absolutely amazing — the fried ribs, collard greens, candied yams, and corn muffins were a huge hit. You can tell everything is made with love and care.

A huge thank you to our server, Kire, who went above and beyond to make sure our entire group was well taken care of. He was friendly, efficient, and kept everything running smoothly with a positive attitude.

We’re still talking about the meal and the service — highly recommend this local gem. Can’t wait to come back!

I planned on going to this Sunday brunch for weeks. Followed the guidelines for not needing a reservation because we were a four person group. Was told when we got there that after putting our name on a list the wait would be 1 1/2 hours. Which we did, to still never be sat.
The woman in charge of seating people had no business or restaurant skills that should have employed her in that position. Extremely rude with zero patience. Especially for a restaurant with such a high ticket price that comes with expectations. Disappointment is an understatement when I think Lil Sista’s Goody’s

Drove all the way from Oakland to try Lil Sista’s Goody’s because the food looked online and the vibe seemed like everything. The music, atmosphere, and energy when we arrived were honestly really nice, and you could tell people were excited to be there.

According to the website, parties of two can walk in, so we added our names to the list and waited almost two hours. I didn’t mind waiting at first because the plates coming out looked amazing. Unfortunately, after all that time we were told they were no longer taking walk-ins, so we never actually got to taste the food — which was super disappointing after the drive and the wait.

I still want to give credit where it’s due: the environment looked fun and the food presentation had me ready to come back. I’d just recommend making the walk-in policy clearer or updating guests sooner so people know what to expect. Hoping to try the food for real next time!

Came here for a regular dine in. Thursdays and Fridays you can come in for a regular dine in from 4-8. Saturday from 11-2 you can come in for a brunch buffet and then from 4-8 they have regular dine in (Saturday). Sunday they have a $75 buffet from 11am-6pm. Starting with the times because I’ve seen some people have had trouble finding what times are dine in/buffet. Catfish was cooked to perfection with a beautiful crisp on the outside. Corn bread was beautifully made that wasn’t dry. Yams are excellent and taste like your grandmother made them from their own house. Mac n cheese is like no other. Salmon cooked to perfection and didn’t taste too fishy either. This place is amazing and if you’re ever around Napa and want some good soul food, this has to be the spot. 10/10 and I appreciate all of the staff for being welcoming and friendly.

Short version: i drove from Elk Grove (1.5 hours away) to try this food. It took 2 1/2 hours from when we ordered to when we received our food. I recommend the oxtails and Mac and cheese. The food was good but not worth waiting almost 3 hours for. I went for the Saturday buffet, only for someone to call me at 4:08 same day to tell me they will not be doing the buffet just regular plates (which if I’d known ahead of time I wouldn’t have gone).

Longer version: To give you a time frame we first sat down at 4:10pm. After having to flag someone down for a menu we ordered or food at 4:23pm. They were so unorganized. They said the wait time was so long cause they were backed up in the kitchen. There were at least 2 times a wait staff came out with a plate trying to figure out which table the food belongs to. There were SEVERAL tables that left cause they didn’t want to continue waiting for their food. If we didn’t drive so far just for this food I would have left too. At 6:03pm someone came by and retook our order. I was told twice they were “plating our food and it should be out shortly.” She first said it at 6:13pm. We received our first entree at 6:54pm. We ended up sending a piece of chicken back because it didn’t look cooked all the way. Like I said the food was good, we enjoyed everything (although the fried chicken was a little salty). We asked for the check and boxes at 7:18pm. After asking 2 different people we got some containers at 7:31pm and finally received the bill at 7:40pm. We were told it took so long to get the bill cause there was something wrong with the system. When we left there were plenty of tables who still didn’t get there food yet. We ordered the cornbread (not worth the price) and 3 entrees. The oxtails, fried chicken, and catfish. The total came out to $120. After waiting for so long they could have given us a free dessert or appetizer or drink or comped one our dishes or SOMETHING! They barely apologized for the wait. I don’t think I’ll be coming back here. May have been my first and last time at lil sista’s goody’s.

Lil Sista Goodies is all that they say it is. The atmosphere was amazing and the food even more amazing! Bottomless mimosas right on time! Oxtails were tender, Gumbo was delicious. The DJ played all the perfect music! We’ll definitely return! If you haven’t been there, GO!!!!!

10/10 – will always recommend. Wow, y’all DID THAT! I took my man here for his birthday during a visit to Napa last month. The food was fantastic, the staff was amazing and so attentive to our needs.

We had Sunday brunch with unlimited mimosas and it did not disappoint- not to mention, the wait staff made sure my glass stayed full! They had a DJ come in and played the birthday song for my guy, brought him a free dessert and it was a very special way to kick off our day of wine tasting. Whenever I’m in Napa, I will be visiting.

Nice job, y’all!!!
