Great little gem right in Huntingdon, PA. The food is authentic and gives you a sense of comfort food since it is all homemade. There are not many options in Huntingdon besides bar food and Italian food. It is right next to the theater in town but can be easy to miss. Make sure to stop by and you will certainly leave full and satisfied.

My fiance and I stopped here as just a quick date night. I am not one to try new food. But oh my gosh!! I guarantee you will love it. The 2 people working. I’m guessing the owners were very pleasant. I wasn’t sure what half the food even was and I told her what I liked / didn’t and she helped me pick. We will be returning often! Thank you!!

I’m sad I didn’t learn of this place sooner! Amazing home cooked food with amazing attention to spices and seasonings. Their empanadas are fantastic with wonderful and uniquely styled freshly made salsa to dip them in! And the family that owns it is so warm and genuinely friendly.

Excellent service, very friendly. We enjoyed our lunch. The couple running the store were very welcoming, and went above and beyond to help us. Tasty foods with many different options. I will be back from State College! Thank you!

The staff was super friendly. The food was made “fresh”. I ordered Kreatopita which was a light pasty on top however when I ate it the bottom was hard I wasn’t able to cut it with knife and fork instead I had to pick it up and eat it as a sandwich. The meat inside this was very dry and bland. The salad was in the same container with Italian dressing on it. The side of yellow rice and beans was also very dry lacking in flavor. I ordered a chicken empanada which was dry but moistened by the sauce they provided; and a cheese empanada was basically a puffed out mozzarella stick. The presentation was pleasant to the eye.
Overall I’m glad I was able to experience this and it was open on Memorial Day.

Very good food at reasonable prices. Empanadas (we tried beef, chicken and vegan) were fresh and tasty. Not oily like in some places. My partner was happy with his choice ( kreatopita). And my asparagus/shrimp salad was really good! And huge! I almost wished it was smaller, because we did not have space for the desserts. And there is quite a nice selection – baklava, flan, greek yogurt panna cota. We just had to take it “to go”, looking forward to enjoying it later!!

UPDATE:
I Have been back a few more times and everything is delicious.
The salads are fresh and complex, the empanadas have just the right amount of well seasoned filling and are golden perfection.
I didn’t say that the service is very quick .
The coffee is deserving of another mention, it’s bold ,strong and not too bitter. It’s really a wonderful cup of coffee! (And I am snooty about my java)
The last few visits were with a vegan companion she had no problem with finding something to order. The menu is limited making everything on it a treat.
I can’t express how much eating here is like going to your Aunties house. She wasn’t expecting you but, produces the most delicious meal in minutes.( from a spotless kitchen!)
Every dining experience should be this relaxing and inviting.
Original post:
The tostones are perfect! Crisp, starchy goodness with just a hint of salt. The beef gyro was fresh and delicious. They even warmed the pita.I opted for a strong cup of coffee and their homemade chocolate flan. Moist cake topped with luscious custardy flan that had a just sweet enough glaze on top.

Love was the main ingredient.

My partner and I were visiting some friends and they mentioned that this place was new and they hadn’t gone there yet. When I looked it up and saw it was a fusion we were very skeptical. I myself am Greek and my partner is Latin, plus from NYC. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! The only downside to this place is that we’re 3 hours away from it and can’t frequent it as often as we’d like. But our local friends will for sure be hitting it up regularly. Oh and I can’t forget to mention how wonderful the owner is

And I was worried that my son wouldn’t have any respectable Greek or Latin food in little Huntingdon, Pa……. silly me.
Take it from this South Floridian, the empanadas here are the real thing! They would fit right in on Calle Ocho in Miami, crisp and delicious pastry, and that chimichurri sauce? ¡que delicioso!
We spoke for some time with the owner, and she was the nicest woman. It’s evident she is a product of a family that made food and hospitality a priority. It’s in the blood.
So now I can rest easy knowing my Greek son will have some food from both his culture and his home while away at school! I made sure to take him a menu to hang up in his dorm for any homesick food-type emergencies.
I’m looking forward to visiting again next time I’m in town.
