Hash browns done right! Great, old-fashioned breakfast. Prices are still affordable. Portions are huge, so feel free to share & come to the diner often. Staff was super welcoming. Classic diner coffee. I love how they have an array of breakfast-appropriate hot sauces to choose from (Tapatio, Cholula, Tabaaco, Crystal, etc.) That is so thoughtful bc everyone has a favorite. This is a real diner, not a diner-themed restaurant. That is refreshing. My partner and I spent a morning here browsing the newspaper, reading the funnies, and doing the crossword together. A super cute breakfast date spot or a calm solo morning. I’ll be back to try their corned beef hash bc I know that will be done right too.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lil Joe’s is a MUST-TRY Sacramento classic!

If you haven’t been to Lil Joe’s, you’re seriously missing out. The food is incredible almost everything tastes homemade and the servers treat you like family from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere feels like stepping straight into a cozy 1960s diner, and somehow the prices feel like they came from the same era too.

Today I stopped in craving their Thursday special… on a Sunday
Not only did they not hesitate, they went out of their way to make it for me anyway. That kind of service is rare these days and deserves major respect ❤️

Amazing food, amazing people, and a place that just feels good to be in.
Support local, and put Lil Joe’s at the top of your list you won’t regret it.

My favorite place. Classic diner done very well and the owner sometimes walks around and reads you your horoscope. My favorite is dish the southern smother. Biscuit, sausage patties, eggs, country gravy with hash browns. Love lil joes

I must have come on an off day. When we arrived, the diner had many flies buzzing around. When we went to sit down, there was still crumbs from the previous customers breakfast on the table & bench. I quickly wiped it away and hoped the experience would be getting better. We ordered our drinks, unfortunately my husband wasn’t given a spoon so he had to use a sugar bag to whisk his coffee.
When we received our food, we were not given any silverware yet. We waited about 10 minutes hoping our waitress would help us. We finally had to flag someone else to get utensils so we could finally eat our food. I ordered pancakes and the waitress said she’d bring the syrup but never did. My pancakes were cold by the time I finally asked for syrup again. Bathrooms are odd, not sure about the key situation? Overall a very underwhelming experience.

Lil Joe’s on Del Paso BLVD. Has been a family fave for so long. As a child, my family took me so many happy memories. In the 1980s and 90′ s, I took my kids. It’s always been easy to get to, quick to get seated. Lil Joe is now standing at the golden cash register in the sky, welcoming all he sees. A man who used to be a patron loved the nice vibe of Lil Joe’s, so he bought the restaurant and brought it back to life. Thank the good lord for that! I had the most delicious Bacon Pecan French Toast. It was the best I’ve ever had. I definitely order it again. My husband had New York steak with eggs and hashbrowns and coffee. Everything was perfect and delicious!

I had the Hot Links Breakfast & hubs had the same thing add pancakes. It’s so good. The potatoes are crispy on the outside & fluffy inside! We used to eat here as kids & shop at Ben Franklin.

Checking out reviews to see if you should go to Lil Joe’s? Look no further! Lil Joe’s Is the perfect diner breakfast and lunch meals you’re looking for. The customer service was outstanding. From the waitresses to the cooks to even the owner everyone was so friendly and caring. Some of my posted pictures are of some Bundt cakes The owner made in the morning and they were absolutely magnificent! This was my husband’s and my first time visiting the historic establishment. We were absolutely blown away with how affordable and delicious the food was and how incredible the service was. We cannot wait to come back and dine and try more of their awesome breakfast and lunch menues! Highly recommend their sourdough toast and breakfast burger!!
