Finally got to stop in for some grub and was not disappointed!

Everything was absolutely delicious. I got the bangers and mash and my mom got the seafood combo with chips, and we each had one of the house branded root beers. The sausage was perfectly browned and cooked and the potatoes were mashed to perfection. The shrimp and scallops were nice but the fish was the real star of the seafood combo – flaky, buttery, light, and crispy! And the hand cut chips were phenomenal; not greasy at all.

Service was excellent, and the place was spotless.

We’ll definitely be making the 2hr drive down again!

You don’t have to fly all the way across the Atlantic Ocean for some authentic British style fish & chips. Best in the area, hands down. I will be back.

I’m from the UK and I’m soon planning to move to CT, I’ve visited New England many times and looked everywhere for a decent chippy, but nowhere was as good as home… until I found this place.

The fish and chips were fresh, delicious, and tasted exactly like home. The prices were very reasonable, a small fish and chips only costs $10.90, which is roughly what it costs in England. They also have a cute little selection of British sweets for you to purchase, also priced well. The staff were also very friendly!

Me and my fiancé drove over 120 miles to visit this place, and it’s safe to say we’ll be doing the drive all over again for another taste. Absolutely recommend to my English friends who live in New England, if you’re feeling a little homesick, come visit!

I have to say this is probably the best fish and chips ive had in my life. This from someone who lives in Manhattan and travels frequently to London. Fish n chips is an art and this was done to perfection. Everything was fried to order fresh flaky mushy peas was perfect. I wish I had 2 stomachs. Going to have to come back for the sausage pies and bangers and mash. Locals have no idea how good they got it with this gem of a place.

Fish and Chips are very good. This is a small portion of the fries I got. The on-line menu prices are not up-to-date.

Ordered a large fish and chips, with beets and mayo. Fast delivery, home made style crunchy fries and a delicious and light fluffy fish. Kudos, long time I had not eaten such a good F&C. Large portion was very generous.
Service was good and fast, with care and smile, and the ambiance is really royal and fun. Nice place.

A small unassuming place with a very nice staff. We loved all the food we got. Eating in was better than their take-out (which was the only way we’d had this before… during COVID they were carry out only). Fresh and crisp. Great Fish and Chips.

The cleanest friendly place I have been in a long while. The food was absolutely delicious. It’s been years since I have had decent Fish and chips. And this place was so delightful. Bathroom was immaculate. Floor, tables and chairs were so clean. I’m so impressed. We will definitely be back.

I have to drive over 80 miles each way to eat in the restaurant but it’s well worth it. I am English and travel to England usually about once a year to visit my family and of course I eat Haddock and chips a couple of times when I’m there and I must say that none of the chip shops there compare to Lil Britain because when you buy food in a British shop it has been sitting around for quite a while on display in a heated cabinet but in Lil Britain I always wait for the food to be cooked and I know it’s fresh out of the fryer. Everything my wife and I buy there is delicious and the staff are so very friendly.
I have no doubt that we will be back there ASAP, when you are running a business here in the USA and you hear it mentioned and recommend on a British radio station by Mark Goodier you know it has to be good.
Keep up the good work folks.

Very clean, affordable, and very filling. We had the fish and chips and shrimp and chips and thought both tasted great.
