In almost a decade of Like My Thai, I have never been served anything here that wasn’t absolutely delicious. Everything is always fresh and bursting with flavour- you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. It is not pretentious, and the portions always fill you up. I love this place- I have had a lot of fun, and course of life changing memories in this restaurant. I wish Mike many more prosperous years to come.

Came for restaurant week and wasn’t disappointed. The curry base was authentic and delicious. The additional toppings were a welcomed surprise. Funky, eclectic atmosphere with energetic and fun staff.

Pros- Lucky to have a great Thai restaurant in downtown Erie that is all-inclusive. Friendly server & chef. Loved the local art on display. Clean restrooms. Good portions & great flavors! Chicken Satay Skewers; very moist & succulent with 2 dipping sauces; sweet chili & traditional peanut sauce. Both were perfect. They were very accommodating on the few modifications we asked for. I ordered a noodle stir-fry with delicious marinated tofu. Watch the spice level, though. I got 4 out of 5, but I should have gotten the 3 or 2. I like heat, but it was a lot for me, but still, I ate it all. Not outrageous pricing. We were full too.
.
Cons- Back restaurant seating and open kitchen were dark. Heavy metal, long-hair rock music with wailing electric guitar music was not appropriate, but probably favored by the owner/chef. Something mellower, international, would’ve been better. I asked if the music could be changed and was told no. Lack of parking can be an issue, unfortunately.
.
Definitely would return, but for less spicy, and I’ll bring some ear plugs.

Like My Thai has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere that will not disappoint! The service is great- fast and very accommodating to special requests. As an added bonus, you can watch your food being prepared! Small menu, but nice variety- both of which add to the authentic Thai experience.

Very cool spot right in the heart of downtown. I got the pad Thai with chicken and shrimp level 5 spice (which is the max) and it was delicious. I will say it could have used a little more meat for the $15 price point and had a slight kick but I was expecting some serious heat. Overall very solid and would definitely hit this place again.

Ok I will be nice. We were passing through on business from Chicago, figured downtown restaurants should be a little more reliable, and the more highly rated Thai Eatery was not open for dining.
The food here isn’t terrible, but it is not Thai food. It is not even fusion Asian food, typically for a menu like this, Chinese, Thai, Korean, this place should be called the Pacific Rim, only if it actually serves fusion Asian food. My Thai ice tea tasted like it is water downed, almost no tea taste and not enough condensed milk. The Pad Thai is the most basic Thai dish, the noodle was over cooked, soggy and stuck together, the sauce is bland, missing the basic ingredient tamarind. If there was tamarind in the sauce I didn’t taste any of it. Way to much peanut shavings. My colleague ordered the Thai Basil, it came out like a soup? It is a stir fry, why so much sauce? We barely ate half of the food just because we were starving and had no time.
Maybe the other items on the menu are better but from the cooking style I have seen so far, I’d doubt it. The 2 stars were for the good service.

Enjoyed the red curry and a glass noodle dish with beef. Presentation of the food was great. Flavors are on point, portions are solid (had some leftovers). Friendly staff that had a real nice vibe between the chef manning the woks (I think 6 or more at a time) and the server running between tables. A real chill,’laid back thing going on.

Mike prepares a delicious complement of food from the Tteokbokki, Pad Thai to the Dandan soup. The staff, the girls, are all extremely friendly and they know how to serve you. Lastly, the atmosphere is welcoming with ringside seat feet from the grill to the tables out front where you can sit, relax and watch the day go by.

The atmosphere and the service was great . Can work better on the drinks menu . We loved the drunken noodles , but did not really like the red curry and panang curry ! Way to go …

Flavor of the Pad Thai was amazing! Combination of spices and flavors was different and brilliant. More veggies than we’ve had in other pad thais, but didn’t distract from the overall yumminess of this dish. Mike, the owner, is a character with a real talent for making you feel welcome and like you really want to return to eat through the entire menu. He’s also a super chef. Like My Thai was the first stop on an Erie walking food tour. We will gladly return to this restaurant.
