We were starving when we stopped by here for a late lunch. It was delicious We enjoyed everything from the seafood chowder to the grilled salmon and salmon tacos. We also ordered some garlic bread. We are in Haines for 3 nights and we will more likely return for another meal. Great spot by the water.

After nine years of exploring different destinations as full-time travelers, we encountered the worst service and food at this place, which was simply unacceptable for a dish as straightforward as fish and chips.
Worst part is we were not even given cutlery’s to eat our fish and chips. 35 mins later we were still waiting on it while picking on our food with our fingers.
Dine time was around 5:30pm.

We went out to eat dinner one night at this place and were expecting good fish and food. Right as we entered the restaurant we waited for a waiter to come and give us a table for at least 5 minutes. We had to get our own menus! We finally sat down and noticed how slow everything was. We got water 10 minutes after sitting down and ordered food. We constantly were waiting and wondering where our food was. After 1 hour of dreadful the food finally came. At that point we were not even hungry anymore. To add on to everything the fish that we ordered was cold. We paid so much money and waited so long for cold fish! Unbelievable! Save your self a lot time, happiness and money by avoiding this place

Had best halibut fish and chips ever. Staff was friendly and we had a view of the harbor. Nice break from cruise ship food. Haines is a cute town worth a visit.

Traveling through Alaska from NY and stopped at this restaurant for dinner. It was great! I had the most delicious macaroni and cheese that I’ve ever had in my life! Wow!
Hubby had the bison burger which was good. He really loved the seafood chowder.
Christy was our server and she was wonderful.
I highly recommend this place! And do yourself a favor and order the mac and cheese @

On a Tuesday night at 630pm this was one of two restaurants open in town.
We were sent to the bar as the restaurant became full.
I understand they were busy, and we waited well over an hour for our food which at least was decent.
While initially waiting for a table in the restaurant, there was no acknowledgement of the line up waiting and then we were told rather curtly if we didn’t have a reservation we couldnt be helped and to go to the bar or wait an hour for a table.

Stopped here during lunch while on our cruise. Great place if you are looking to support the locals. Not so great if you want spectacular food. Two of the items on the menu they said their cook didn’t feel like making today. Looked around and everyone was eating fish and chips or chicken strips so I guess that’s what they enjoy serving.

We were cruising at Haines and wanted one more quick beer. We were very satisfied with the halibut fish and chips and the beer on tap! The bartender was so welcoming and sweet and told us they opened that day early for us cruisers and we are so glad they did!

Mediocre at best. Stood waiting for a table for like 10 minutes (not bad) but wasn’t even welcomed or talked to at all prior, just walked right past multiple times until finally someone left and we were seated. Then waited probably 15 minutes to order food and another at least 45 minutes or more to get our food. We only ordered chicken strips with fries and a bowl of mac n cheese. They barely had the windows cracked and it was 70+° outside, so extra hot and stuffy inside, made me feel sick. Don’t go if you’re in a rush. I watched multiple tables of people walk out and tables not even get attention for 30+ minutes at a time. The waitress was very kind, but it seemed like they were severely understaffed, creating an unwelcoming environment to want to sit and wait that long to eat.
