Curries, tandoori chicken & other common Indian entrees are the draw at this laid-back restaurant.

I have ordered Fish Tikka but they recooked the old food. When I called in the girl on call started arguing instead of accepting her mistake. I suggest staying away from the restaurant. Their quality is not good. The owner in reply is still arguing. It’s worst experience i had in lower mainland. He is saying as if i don’t know what I ordered. Good luck dude, your attitude does not go long way. Try accepting your mistake.

Just to clarify — yes, this is definitely the right place.
Well, this was disappointing, spent $47.00, I usually go here because it’s really good, but today was a different story due to my salad being mouldy and slimy! Instead of garlic naan I got whole wheat naan. Let’s hope I don’t get food poisoning.

“Disappointing experience at Lighthouse Restaurant. Despite being the only customer, the service was slow and inattentive. I had to call multiple times for service, but was consistently ignored. It seemed like the staff were more focused on other tasks than attending to coustomers

We ordered take out. I do not remember fish and chicken pakora ever tasting or looking the way they did today. The chicken pakora were huge with dry masala just sitting on top and not fresh at all. As for the fish remotely no flavour at all. Disappointed is an understatement, and a shame to the name of Lighthouse. Don’t recommend, stray away if you can unless you want your stomach to hurt. If 0 stars was an option they’d get it.

Dear Manager,
I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received during a recent pickup order at your restaurant.
The staff member at the counter was chewing gum while speaking to customers and did not display a friendly or professional attitude. When I mentioned that this behavior felt rude, I was told that because it is a hospitality restaurant, it was acceptable. There was no smile, apology, or thank you offered during the interaction.
I believe basic courtesy and professionalism are important in any customer-facing role, and this experience fell short of that expectation. I hope this feedback can be used constructively to improve customer service going forward.
Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns.
Kind regards,

Used to love ordering from Herr. Especially fish pakora which were my favourite. Ordered the other day. Fish was OK. $28.00 for 1lb delivered. Inside salad box – all white onion with 2 pieces of raddish. No cabage etc. One skinny lime. They have also shrunk down the tarter sauce essentially making you need to order more. 1 small container for an entire lb of fish pakora. Sufficed to say, all good things must come to an end. I used to order often – but when ownership starts getting stingy like this and thinks you won’t care or notice. I move on. L8er

Lighthouse is known for their fish pakoray and tartar sauce. So we made the trek out all the way to Cloverdale from the tri- cities. I was so excited to pick up take out. We got fish pakoray, chicken pakoray, panir pakoray and butter chicken. The panir pakoray were not bad. A little on the dry side but the sauce in the centre was lovely. The chicken pakoray were good too, paired really well with mint chutney.
The fish pakoray, however, tasted different. I remember them being famously flavourful but instead were bland and the fish seemed different. The tartar and red sauce are still the same – both super amazing.
We had the butter chicken later in the day for dinner and it was also bland and the gravy was not rich and creamy. It was rather like a tomato soup base. I love Indian food and love supporting my people locally. I have run Indian restaurants myself and I will not give up on a restaurant because of one experience. I will be back in a few months time to try it again. Consistency is hard to up keep and I know lighthouse has some great dishes and great potential… until next time <3

We brought naan from their place and its cost was $50 and they looked like they weren’t even cooked, it felt like we were eating something raw and we had to heat the food up again and cook it as you can see in the first picture. When we tried to tell the manager about how the food was so uncooked they took 50 dollars for this just for it to be raw. They should honestly be ashamed of what they sell and should honestly get better workers. The manager just told us to come and return it and get more and they’ll make sure it’ll be cooked. Hell no I won’t drive another 20 minutes to go to their place again. Please do better next time.

I usually never write reviews for restaurants, even when the food or service isn’t up to the mark. But today, I felt I had to share my experience so you’re aware of what’s happening with your food quality and service.
The food we received today was horrible and seemed undercooked. The Kadai Chicken was mostly vegetables with oil floating on top — it was hard to even find pieces of chicken in it. The Paneer dish was a complete disaster, tasting like frozen paneer cooked in an old curry mixed with cream

The lamb and prawn were top tier. Super tasty, warm, and the flavor was exquisite. The garlic naan was exceptionally delectable. The service was amazing and the bathrooms were clean. I would highly recommend this restaurant
