I order from Lievito’s once a week; sometimes more, sometimes less. But I’ve tried A LOT of the restaurants available on Uber Eats in the Jersey City Area and this has to be the best. The food is top notch. Always delicious. I’m always impressed. I can’t say enough good things. They definitely prepare their dishes like a high-end restaurant—everything from their pizza to their main dishes. Their pizza is amazing! I’m a fan, and definitely will continue to be a customer.

The food was good. Ordered a supreme pizza and the veggies were super fresh which I appreciated. Calamari was flavorful. The garlic knots seemed to have spent a bit too much time cooking but I’ve had garlic knots from them before and they were great. The marinara sauce just yum.

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was so frustrating that I feel people should be aware before choosing to order from Lievito.
I placed a pizza order at 8:01 PM and was told it would be ready shortly. Almost two hours went by with no update and no courtesy call. When I arrived at the restaurant at 9:53 PM, I expected at least an explanation or an apology. Instead, I found multiple staff members sitting around in the waiting area, casually laughing and making jokes as if customers didn’t matter at all.
There was no urgency, no concern, and honestly no professionalism. The staff acted completely unbothered by the fact that I had been waiting nearly two hours for something that should take 20–30 minutes at most. When I asked about my order, not a single person apologized or even acknowledged the inconvenience. It felt like basic customer respect was non-existent.
To make it worse, the atmosphere gave the impression that customer service is simply not a priority here. If this is how they treat orders and face-to-face customers, I can’t even imagine how they handle quality during busy hours.
There are too many great pizza places in the area to waste time and money on a place that:
• Doesn’t value your time
• Doesn’t communicate delays
• Doesn’t train staff in basic customer service
• Doesn’t take accountability
I genuinely recommend choosing somewhere else. Supporting a business that doesn’t respect its customers only encourages more of this behavior.
I won’t be returning, and I hope this review helps others avoid the same experience.

Great place with really good food! Everything we tried was delicious, and I was especially impressed with the gluten-free options. It’s not always easy to find places that do gluten-free well, but they clearly put thought into it. The atmosphere was welcoming. The overall experience is excellent. Definitely a spot I’d recommend and would happily come back to.
