Searching for a new Italian restaurant we came across Lidia’s Restaurante Italiano on Atlee Rd in Mechanicsville, VA and they did not disappoint! The staff 5/5 (attentive, nice and helped to navigate the menu). The vibe was quiet and the space was very clean. Now to the most important part, lol the food: 5/5 portions were huge and everything was well seasoned! My mother joined us and her go to is Chicken Parmigiana (2 chicken cutlets and a half plate of spaghetti), I ordered their homemade lasagna (so many layers and covered in a rich meat sauce with plenty of cheese), Mimi opted for the salmon pasta ( she stated the salmon was seasoned well and the sauce gave an alla vodka sauce vibe which was really tasty). The salads were basic but fresh and the salad dressings really good. The rolls were perfect for sopping up the sauce lol. If you are looking for authentic Italian do yourself a favor and check them out!

Ordered dinner for pick up around 8:30pm on a Saturday. We got baked veggie spaghetti and a meat lovers pizza. Overall, it was really good and we would definitely order from here again! The pizza was great. I expected more veggies to be in the veggie spaghetti as it seemed to have very little, and it did not have very much seasoning. The portion size was good for the price. I was easily able to split the spaghetti into two portions. The side salad and bread that came with the spaghetti complimented the pasta. The salad ingredients were fresh, as was the bread.

Nice restaurant with very laid back atmosphere. The Cesar salad was amazing! Food came quickly and was very good and tasty. All the food is very affordable and the portions are very big. Highly recommend!

We started with the calamari. It was lightly breaded and crispy, with a fresh flavor.
I got the lasagna, which tasted like home. It was delicious. There was plenty of meat, pasta, and cheese, a perfect balance. The sauce wasn’t overly sweet. The tomato was very evident in the sauce.
The Caesar salad was fresh, the dressing flavorful, not bland.
The bread was hot and yummy.
I can’t wait to go back!

That little Italian restaurant was a pleasant surprise for me. The food has a delicious and incredible flavor with that Italian touch, and the prices are reasonable. It’s clean and hygienic with good service. And especially today, I tried the caprese salad as an appetizer—delicious, I recommend it! Also, the Penne Alla Macy and the Pollo A La Parmigiana were delicious, the sauce tastes like a delicious, Italian homemade sauce, so fresh and flavorful.

I come here from time to time with my wife, and the food is always amazing. The dishes never fail to surprise me — you can really tell there’s care and passion in the way everything is made. I honestly think it’s the best tiramisu in the area. I truly recommend this place to anyone looking for great Italian food

We haves lived here for over 5 years but this was our first time! So delicious! Just simple spaghetti and it was so good. As a group of 5, everyone loved their meal. Service was a bit slow at first because they were PACKED. But even so, customer service was wonderful!!!

I don’t usually give 5-star reviews but this one had everything going for it. Not from this town so we just happened to stop by. It is a small family-owned Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was casual and friendly and we felt very welcome. The owner was walking around checking on things and making sure customers were happy. The waitress was very nice and kept everything filled and even served our pizza. Now the food… we had a half cheese half meat lovers pizza, chicken picata, chicken marsala, and lobster ravioli. The pink sauce and house sauce were phenomenal. Food was hot. Pizza had great flavor, even in the crust. Everything was just on point. Recommend giving it a chance!
