I decided to get a chicken cheesesteak and I found a weird looking piece of something in my sandwich. I have no idea what it even is. I will never be eating from this place again and the sad part is the sandwich was good until I found something in it. I only asked for fried onions on my sandwich, but the thing I found in my sandwich was brown. NEVER EATING THIS AGAIN!!

Stumbled into Liberty Tavern on a quest for some food and boy did they deliver. I asked the guy behind the counter what was good, and either he was the owner or just the most confident dude in a 5-mile radius. Charisma off the charts, charm like your favorite uncle who also happens to run a sandwich empire. He recommended the cheesesteak and I didn’t argue.
Let me tell you: this cheesesteak didn’t just slap… it filed a full-blown emancipation proclamation on my taste buds. Juicy, cheesy, with that perfect peppery kick that says, “You’re not driving home after this.” And yes, I took a bite before the picture. I regret nothing. The spicy cheese curds were crispy little golden bombs of joy, probably fried in freedom.
Liberty Tavern… come for the food, stay for the hospitality, leave in a food coma.

Been going here for a long time and never had a problem with service until today!! Was greeted horribly by a female cashier….Was charged twice and she also tried to take cash from me!! Seems to me she had a problem with my color idk but THEY WILL NEVER GET MY BUSINESS AGAIN…..So be careful when you see her she so unprofessional.

Unfortunately, I have to give this visit a two-star rating overall. I understand that we were leaving the Flyers game, and the atmosphere was hectic—people heading home, grabbing their cheesesteaks, hoagies, and more. It seemed like we arrived right around a shift change, with employees coming and going, so I don’t want to take away from the restaurant as a whole.
That said, my experience was mixed. The cheese fries were fantastic, and the chef salad—with the turkey rolls or whatever type they were—was excellent. However, ordering a cheesesteak only to find out later that it had no cheese was really disappointing. The steak itself was great—add a little ketchup, salt, or pepper, and it’s solid—but a cheesesteak without cheese is a basic mistake.
By the time you get home and realize the issue after it’s been triple-wrapped, no one is driving 20-30 minutes back through traffic just to have them fix it. Instead, they leave a review like this.
I’m not saying I won’t go back, but I do expect better next time.

The cheese steaks has gotten horrible. Why is it so chewy and it taste nasty and dry and cold…that’s $30 wasted… I’ve been going there for yearsssssssss ….I will not be returning

Stopped in for the first time since they closed for reconstruction. I had a buffalo chicken cheese steak, and it was awesome. Beer for happy hour is $2.50 a bottle, so all in all, great time tonight
