They serve Bar Pizza at Liberty Grille, which means a thin crust, cooked well, and a little small. Boy, do they do a great job! The South Shore is known for it, and we love the Greek Pizza, but also mix in our concoctions like Pepperoni & Jalapeño or Black Olive & Onion.

They are usually backed up in the kitchen a bit, so when you show up “on time,” you spend more than a few mins watching some of the regulars bunched together in the super tiny bar downstairs. But they’re there to watch the show…

Tonight, it was empty and our pizza were stacked for us andc ready to go.

This bar pizza was surprisingly fantastic. Like, exceptionally good. Never heard of this place before stumbling upon it but 10/10 will return!

Had many meals there, some good, some OK, but my last and final one in 2016 we got the badly burned pizza you see in the photo. No refund, no apology. They did offer to cook another one, but that would have made us late for the movie at the nearby Loring Hall Cinema. So I paid and left. We left the entire uneaten burned pizza on the table. Yuk.

so devastated to not even receive food, a table, or even any acknowledgment from the staff. especially troubling when “seat yourself” was falsely presented, and there was no available table that had enough seats for the 3 people present and my friends young infant. interestingly enough, the upstairs was “closed” for an empty event! wild and very confusing. no one was visibly an employee, and we stood in-front of the table for about 4 minutes before we left out of embarrassment. horrific.

edit: seems as though this is the common experience. this lady needs to just quit i guess.

Welcoming, pleasant staff. Relaxed, quiet, smaller sized tavern. Enjoyed a dram.

Waitress (short brown hair) is in the wrong line of work!! Completely forgot to put our order in and didn’t care! After an hour I asked why others were being served before us her answer was, “I don’t keep track of that”. Keep in mind we were the only ones there before others arrived. Didn’t apologize or anything and acted like she didn’t care. Great pie but horrendous service !!

A steadfast establishment with solid menu options. The staff is attentive & friendly with a positive approach. The food is great comfort food. I did enjoy the bar style pizza. I can definitely recommend this sausage & banana pepper pizza! Parking is tight but within a short walk. The bar is tiny sitting 4 or 5 people. The prices are more than reasonable. It’s been here for years….that says it all!

The pizzas here are very good! My favorite is the Bacon, Onion, and Olive! Currently, and for a few months, there is only pizza for sale, so there is no other food, which is disappointing because I absolutely LOVED the Chicken and Pesto Tortellini! The staff there is very nice! Going there, I feel very welcome and I always look forward to my visits. I did used to work here, but I no longer do, so this is an honest review with no biases.

First time here. Only 10″ bar pizza is served and it’s VERY good. The service was warm and friendly, but the atmosphere was awesome since you’re eating in a building from the 1600-1700’s…lots of warm, chunky wood on windows, doors, floors and low, beamed ceilings. The small bar looked to be very congenial and intimate. There ‘s a second floor (which I didn’t see) but I know it must have a beautiful view of Hingham harbor right across the street. Quaint and cozy; try going during the week when it’s quieter and you can enjoy that softly lit “old time’y” ambiance.

I have been trying new places to eat pizza, to find my own best. I stopped in and had a few pies with a friend. They were yummy. There’s is a decent pie, that…if your in the neighborhood, you should stop in and try. Nice crisp, yummy cheese blend, just a proper pub pie…. I will be back for more!
