Highlights: typical food prices, huge portions, nice beer selection, outstanding burger, solid pizza.

Ignore the “bad” parking situation. God forbid you have to walk 5 minutes. There really is ample parking around, again, you may have to walk a couple minutes.

This is a nice change over the taco bar concept that it took over. Same owner group. Excellent attentive service. Nice bar with additional high tops behind it. Great tv behind the bar, ideal for sporting events. The patio will be gray in the summer. They seem to have plans to elevate the patio for the upcoming outdoor season.

100% would recommend checking this spot out.

Went around 5pm on a Saturday night to try a new place and get my weekly fix of Mexican food. Parking can be tricky here, there are commuter train lots which I figured wouldn’t be in use but you might have to walk be prepared. When we entered we asked for a low top table and were directed upstairs, there’s no low tops on the main floor so shorter people beware. The menu wasn’t difficult to go thru, it was well layed out and a tad difficult to read, we weren’t the only couple using our phone to read. We ordered some drinks which are definitely the reason to come. A flight of margaritas and an Orange Crush. There flight was awesome but my Orange crush was VERY sweet, had to order a seltzer to offset it. We skipped on the chips and guac, no way I could justify $15! And from what I saw on other tables it was a wise skip. My wife ordered a few tacos and she best described them as something that was prepared off of a steam table. My Smoked Brisket Burrito contained a very moist pulled brisket with seasoned rice and black beans in a grilled burrito. The smoked brisket wasn’t really smoked brisket but tasted more like Boston butt pulled pork. To summarize this place, if I got off the train and wanted to go for some higher end quick drinks before heading to El Sarape, this would be the place to do it

I was on the fence about ordering takeout from here but then I saw the owner’s response to a spam review from that rude woman. He told her he hopes she steps on a Lego, and I knew immediately I needed to try the food. Worth it. I’m extremely picky about fish and chips, especially the Americanised version which is without a beer/thick batter and tends to be much lighter. I am not pleased with most places fish and chips around here. This fish was cooked to perfection. The flavor is incredible, the fish is fresh, the fries are shoestring-ish and they are also cooked perfectly. The serving is also large, enough for two to split. I do wish I was given an option for maybe an old bay tartar sauce but the dish speaks for itself. You have a new customer, I’m sold. I’ll be trying more food in the future with my family. Keep it up, guys.

Excited to land here Friday night, made a reservation for 4 @ 630p; fyi won’t seat you until party is all there. 630p party all there, waited for table.
While waiting, we saw the chef delivering food to tables and bar area.
Looked like there were plenty of staff but it was busy. Our server was Megan, she was Great; friendly, professional, and efficient.
Food ordered were burgers, mine was good , while others had burnt buns and overly dried beef. Thinking the chef was probably delivering food and left them on too long. This place has potential and hoping it will succeed!
We did park at T lot but forgot to get reimbursed, not sure if they honor the parking. Will def. be back to try other menu items.

Cheers!

I’d definitely come back again, esp since it’s local for me. The nachos were tasty, great puffy fried chips and presented well. I would like to try another protein next time, I thought the ground beef was a little mushy and too salty for my liking. The chicken bacon quesadillas were a little too bland, we couldn’t taste the bacon and the chicken needed more seasoning. But asking for a side of the guacamole, salsa, lime creama , and hot sauce made the dish more delicious and I would get it again, but only with the add-ons, which added some to the price, but worth it. The margheritas were very well made. Fresh and mixed from scratch, no pre-made bottle mixers. I wouldn’t have ordered it, if it were. We sat at the bar, it had more space from where they originally were going to seat us between others, it was a bit tight, so having the option at the bar was perfect. All the staff were friendly, but not overbearing. The menu is a bit limited, but in time maybe it’ll grow or since its my first time, they may rotate it out and I’m just unaware of it. Having the public parking behind the building is helpful since street parking in front can be limited. I’m hoping this establishment does well.

The ambiance was great, with a cool cantina vibe, and the space was nicely decorated. They also have an upstairs section, which was a nice touch. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We started with the elote dip with bits of pork belly, and that was definitely the highlight of the meal—superb corn and incredibly tender pork belly. For our entrees, we had the sweet potato enchiladas and three tacos (carne asada, chicken, and pork). The enchiladas came in a cast iron pan and were presented well, but they could have used a sauce or some garnish to elevate the flavor. They were just okay. As for the tacos, the chicken was bland, and the pork taco was dry. Overall, the food was decent, but the seasoning was lacking. It’s a great spot for drinks and apps, but we felt the overall the experience was just okay for us.

The food was great, the drinks were above average, and the service was excellent. Don’t be fooled by the bad reviews below; some people are mean and senseless. It was my first visit, and I’m sure I’ll be back again.

I ordered a quesadilla ($16), and assumed chips and dip would come with the meal. It did not. In fact, they didn’t put ANY salsa, guac, or dip of any kind alongside the quesadilla. Just two lime wedges.

I ordered the insanely expensive $14 chips and dip appetizer, because I really wanted some salsa to go with my quesadilla, and I was hungry enough to eat some chips.

I said “I’d love chips and salsa”. She said “we have that. It comes with guac too but if you want some queso we can do a little of all three as well, no problem.” I didn’t ask for queso, it was suggested, and I said “okay. That sounds good.”

The chips came, and I said “you know, for $14 I thought this was a crazy expensive appetizer, but it is a big portion.” She said nothing.

The bill came. $38 instead of $30!!! That means the appetizer of chips with a few dips came to $22?! MORE THAN THE QUESADILLA??

I left no tip. I don’t do that ever, but when a server charges you half the prize of the dish for adding one dip, and doesn’t bother to tell you?! That’s really bad service.

But also: how does a taco place simply not serve salsa or guac with a quesadilla?! And then charge soooo much to ask for them ($6-$8?!)

I thought my lunch would be a normal price ($16). Then paying for chips felt like a lot ( $14 is crazy for an appetizer of chips, but I was hungry). But my lunch came to $38?!

I know a great taco place near my house that makes quesadillas, chips and salsa included, for $12 a meal. This is highway robbery. Go elsewhere. I just spent my groceries on a meal, and it wasn’t even amazing. It was just okay ‍♀️.

I almost always leave five star reviews (check my other reviews). The fact that I didn’t here says something.

Due to the rude response of the owner, who clearly doesn’t care if his servers charge extra prices without telling his guests, I’ve passed this review along. My friends and I will not return. It’s one thing to make a mistake. It’s another to be mad at your customers for calling you out on it. I DID tell my servers (apparently this respondent) how upset I was. The response was “sorry.”

To overcharge and then do nothing about it it?! That’s why the review.

I lost my job recently, so, no, I don’t tip on top of being charged $8 (nearly 1/3 the cost of my meal) MORE than I agreed to pay. To ask your customer to swallow your incompetence is proof of an entitlement that I don’t want in the service industry. Plenty of better options.

You asked for recs! Lunita in Quincy. Quesadilla is $13.50, and it comes with sides.

Oh! And, yes, my quesadilla was delicious dipped in salsa (that’s why I bought the salsa and chips).

And groceries? Trader Joe’s baby!!! $45 for my week worth btw.

We went to Liberty at the Landing, formerly Uno Mas, last night to check out the new menu and decor. We really liked Uno Mas and were excited for the new opening. We got there early to get a seat at the small (10 seats), coveted bar and ordered the Teriyaki Rice Bowl and Chopped Salad with Steak. The menu is simple yet has so many amazing options. The food was incredible. The place got so busy with people of all ages and it had a great vibe—lively but not obnoxiously loud. We saw so many delicious looking cocktails shuffle into happy patrons hands. They are going to add more decor to match the new theme and the T-shirts the staff were wearing are awesome and will no doubt fly off the shelf when they sell them—Vintage meets modern! A huge shout out to Co-owner Nick and bartender Margaret! PS. We can walk there but don’t be discouraged about parking at The Landing. There are plenty of spaces to be had. We look forward to going back!

Such a great spot for a birthday dinner! The food was delicious (highly recommend the burrito), the drinks were amazing (my wife said the espresso martini was the best she ever had), and the service was both attentive and patient. The interior is super funky and they had a massive TV to watch the game on. Definitely recommend!
