We tried Lia’s for the DC Metropolitan Restaurant Week. They have a great 3-course menu for the Week, with a ton of options! At $40/person it is a little more expensive than some places that participate in Restaurant Week, but plenty worth it. The one thing that could have been improved was the service – there were just too many people out on the patio for the one or two servers. We found it necessary to follow-up with ours once or twice. But the food was great and we’ll definitely be back!

This is a gem! The service by the entire staff was incredible. Theresa sat us and helped us in the beginning, she was super nice and had great recommendations and info about the menu. The fig and prosciutto appetizer is a must! The hand made pastas are awesome. Will definitely be back.

We chose Lia’s to host a birthday celebration for my wife, and invited four other couples as our guests. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, and had put a birthday greeting to my wife on the chalkboard at the restaurant’s entrance. Our server, Britney F., was funny, friendly, attentive without being obtrusive, efficient, and knowledgeable. She provided the highest level of service to our party. The food, from appetizers to deserts, looked beautiful and tasted delicious. The kitchen’s attention to detail was evident in the expert melding of flavors and textures. Lia’s dining room, with its wall of wine bottles and cozy atmosphere, was a perfect compliment to our evening. All in all, Lia’s enabled us to have a wonderful celebration of my wife’s landmark birthday.

Me and my girlfriend have been to Lia’s twice and both times were amazing, loved the burrata, loved the focaccia. My girlfriend still wishes they had the penne Alla vodka. I enjoyed the chicken bella, the risotto paired incredibly well. The first time we went the customers next to us we’re being unwelcoming and very demanding. But the staff handled it very well and saved what could have been a very bad situation. Would recommend to anyone for a nice dinner date, or even just a casual experience.

I regretfully chose Lia’s to take my visiting niece for lunch during the recent restaurant week. I have a gluten sensitivity but saw that the burrata was listed gluten-free so I asked the waiter about the flat bread. He informed me that a hamburger bun would be substituted. Odd but I said “okay, that’s fine but can I have it grilled or toasted?” He said it could only be microwaved. My guest tried asking why a separate pan couldn’t be used but I was worried about the time so I just let it go but the bread was really not good at all.

In celebration of our anniversary, my husband and I started at Lia’s for Happy Hour. We just sat at the bar, it was quiet at that time. Staff were attentive; our drinks were very good! We just had an appetizer (Caesar fries) and shared a burger; both were excellent, in fact one of the best burgers we’ve had!

I came with a group of 12 for dinner on the terrace last night and we all enjoyed Lia’s to the fullest. Service was impeccable, ordering for the group was made simple, and the food and drink came quickly. Everybody loved the octopus starter and arugula salads, and the raviolis were also a big hit.

Love this place !!! I went for the first time this past week and to my expectations it was lovely and I absolutely enjoyed EVERYTHING we ordered. We had an extremely friendly server and she made out experience that much better. Starting with drinks we ordered the cherry blossom mule and yes ! It was delicious .. I got the kale Caesar salad with salmon.. Very tasty and the portion was perfect. I will most certainly will returning!!
