Located on Second Street within the Historic Walsh Building, Lewes Oyster House honors the rich heritage of ubiquitous and democratic oyster consumption in the 18th and 19th centuries Middle Atlantic taverns and oyster houses. We serve inspired tavern fare, expertly prepared with regionally sourced ingredients along with artisanal cocktails, crisp ales & lagers, and interesting wines. Great fun local place to eat! We had a few appetizers as our meal and they all were delicious. I highly recommend the Beef Tartare, Mussels, and Oyster Rockefeller. Perfect mix of all different flavors between each dish.
The atmosphere gives you the full “Oyster House” vibe while dining in at the bar or at a table. Great service at the bar and everyone was pleasant to be around and talk to.
I cannot wait to come back!

We just moved to into the area and this is already my favorite spot! Although I can’t speak to the oysters, every other thing that I tried was extremely delicious! I loved their grilled squid, rotisserie chicken, butternut crab soup, and especially their fries. I truly think that their fries (surprisingly) are the best I’ve ever had – they have a crazy crunch on the outside and a soft inside on every single one. We were stuffed and didn’t even get to check out their dessert menu, so we have to come back for that!

A wonderful restaurant in the old part of the town Lewes. Located in an older historic building. They have a bar seating area as well as traditional booth and table seating. Lovely dark brown wood paneling. Very extensive beer and wine list with excellent seafood and non-seafood options. The grilled octopus starter was amazing. If oysters are your thing then this is heaven! The grilled salmon is also excellent.

This is a must-eat!!! Everything was delicious. The service was wonderful (shout out to Tamara) . Cocktails were on point – order a French 75 to go with dinner and you won’t be disappointed.
Also, very Gluten -free friendly. My daughter hasn’t had safe calamari since she found out she couldn’t have gluten, and was thrilled to be able to eat their calamari!

We had a great time and a great meal. Amanda was our server and she was awesome. She was attentive, helpful and very friendly. Amanda added to our good time. I had the Damm good burger an it was Damm Good! My wife had the steamed clams and the cerviche and she really enjoyed them. Great place and we will be back.

An absolutely amazing dining experience every dish was fantastic. We were visiting Lewes in June and couldn’t get a reservation. We were able to reserve a table for my birthday celebration tonight. I was surprised with a glass of sparkling rose to start off our birthday celebration. We will definitely be back. Our waitress Candice was amazing!

My wife and I had my birthday celebration at the Lewes Oyster house. We started with a few fantastic cocktails in the Gallo room that our bartender Jules(she is fantastic) whipped up for us.Then dinner included Oysters Rockefeller, Clams with linguine, and perfectly prepared steak. Our server was attentive, knowledgable and friendly. Unfortunately I am unable to recall her name at present. We look forward to our new dining experience at the LOH.

It took me 30 mins to open 12 dungeons crab claws but it was all worth it. Oysters were beyond delicious. Cocktails and wine list also very impressive. Our best food experience in Lewes by far.
