The copper bells and the Verde Es Vida was sensational!
Come on down for the best drinks food and service in town!
Shoutout to EJ the Restaurant Manager for squeezing me in on such short notice on a busy night at the bar.
Service…….
Impeccable.
From the moment we arrived, the service set the tone for the night. Warm without hovering, polished without pretension, and infused with a sense of genuine care. Every staff member moved with confidence and kindness, offering thoughtful recommendations and anticipating needs before we even voiced them. It felt like dining with a team of professionals who truly love what they do. This is rare, and it is a gift.
Atmosphere……
Timeless, calm, trendy, and an absolute vibe.
Perched above the city, Level 5 surrounds you with an atmosphere that is both grounding and elevated. Soft lighting, modern desert tones, and beautiful seating create a sense of quiet luxury. The view of the city sparkles below you like a blanket of stars, giving the entire evening a cinematic glow. Fire features shimmer along the patio. Conversations drift gently. The space holds a perfect balance of intimacy and energy. It is the kind of atmosphere that invites you to linger and savor every moment.
The Food…….
Delectable does not even begin to describe it.
Every dish feels like a love letter to Southwestern flavors presented with modern artistic flair. The Roots and Mole Blanco was earthy and elegant, a collection of roasted vegetables resting on a silky mole with a crisp plantain chip standing tall at the center. The clothbound cheddar fondue was warm and indulgent, with rich cheese, pickled apples, and toasted bread that brought every flavor forward. It is the kind of dish that stays with you long after the meal ends.
The main courses were equally impressive. The steak arrived perfectly cooked, tender with a gorgeous sear, served with roasted vegetables and a smooth sauce that added depth and comfort. The chicken was vibrant and beautifully seasoned, served in a bright green chile broth with fresh avocado and crisp tortilla strips that added texture and character. Every bite felt thoughtful, balanced, and deeply satisfying.
Final Thoughts…….
Level 5 is more than a restaurant. It is an atmosphere, a feeling, and a moment above the city where everything slows down and becomes beautiful. The service shines. The ambiance soothes. The food rises to meet the magic of the setting with confidence and artistry. This is the kind of experience that stays with you, the kind that reminds you how nourishing a truly wonderful meal can be.
Simply exceptional.
Chef Sean Sinclair has brought to LEVEL 5 his decades of culinary experience, his passion for unique twists on local foods and his artistry of food presentation. The menu is seasonal and pays delightful homage to local and regional ingredients. Each dish is crafted with creativity and care, from the delicious and fresh Cherry Tomato Bruschetta appetizer (featuring vibrant and flavorful marinated cherry tomatoes, burrata cheese, chile oil, salsa verde and sherry gastrique atop daily house-made focaccia) and the Sugar Snap Pea Caesar (probably one of the best salads we’ve ever eaten snd not to be missed) to the succulent Zia Agriculture Beef served with a chile relleno, ancho demi-glace, potato puree, red chile butter, and calabacitas. Other dishes we have tried and highly recommend are the Grilled Half Chicken & Hominy, the Pan-Roasted Trout and the Calabacitas Ravioli. Capping off any of these amazing dishes are the homemade desserts. Our absolute favorite is the Pistachio Tres Leches. A must try dessert!
Not only is the food delicious, but the artistry in presentation is truly outstanding. Each plate could easily be mistaken for a work of art, captivating both the eye and the palate.
The attentive staff complements the wonderful cuisine with impeccable service, ensuring every guest feels valued and well taken care of. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply indulging in a night out, LEVEL 5 Rooftop Restaurant at Hotel Chaco is a culinary gem that delights the senses, making it a must-visit for food lovers. ~Paige
Service was perfect- everyone was so attentive and nice.
Food was good- we only had bar chows.
MUST GO! Especially during sunset.
Our server, EJ, was absolutely magnificent. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dining experience. EJ’s recommendations were spot-on, and his warm demeanor made us feel right at home.
The food was nothing short of spectacular!
For the main course, I had a perfectly cooked piece of halibut. We also had the Matanza, served with tender collard greens and chunks of pear, which added a lovely sweetness to the savory dish. The crispy pork crackling on top was a fantastic touch, adding texture and flavor. Another dish was the succulent piece of chicken, garnished with microgreens and crispy tortilla strips, resting on a bed of mushrooms and a rich, flavorful sauce. The presentation was impeccable, and the flavors were well-balanced and inventive. The tres leches cake was absolutely magnificent!
To complement the meal, I enjoyed a refreshing cocktail, beautifully garnished with a dried citrus slice, fresh mint, and a cherry. The drink was a perfect balance of sweet and tart, making it a great pairing for the savory dishes.
The ambiance at Level 5 was warm and inviting, with wooden tables and a modern yet cozy setup. The attention to detail in both the food and service was evident throughout the evening. Thanks to EJ and the team at Level 5, this was a dining experience I won’t soon forget. I highly recommend this rooftop gem in Albuquerque for anyone looking for a special night out!
For starters the menu is very limited, servers are not attentive and left us waiting for long periods of time, loud pop music playing for some reason, but the worst of it all was the food. Ordered a the pasta beef shank and received 5 raviolis with bland meat inside and a mystery sauce underneath, absolute abomination of a dish, saw other dishes ordered by dissatisfied coworkers and one was a sushi with a chicharron on top. This Chef must have lied on his resume. Not forgetting the fact the floor tiles were loose to step on and I get it’s a high rise outdoor restaurant but the combination of the fluttering led balcony lighting and pests flying across them makes me wish 0 stars was an option for this place, honestly felt like one big scam for $110 the best thing I experienced was a dr pepper and a outside heater.
