I love their pizza, especially when it’s well done. This review takes into account their chocolate chip cookies.
They changed their cookie recipe! 🙁 They used to give you six hefty chocolate chip cookies that were different from any usual cookie and tasted amazing and they would arrive in a pizza box so none of them were touching each other. Today, I received eight thin chocolate chip cookies in a small plastic container. They don’t taste the same at all, no longer special, and they’re all stuck together and hard to pry apart without breaking them. Very disappointed with this change, and will no longer order cookies with this new recipe.

We did a pizza delivery onSaturday night. The service is really nice, they are professional and on time. We love the meatball and sausage spaghetti, Cobb salad and even the garlic bread. But the pizza is really so so. We ordered a Margherita pizza, but it didn’t look like and Margherita pizza I had before. It was cheesy and kind of thick comparing to other Italian pizzas. Maybe their other flavors are better.

I picked up a $33 large pizza here. I was asked to sign a receipt in front of the cashier and it asked for a tip so I put $0 because it was not a sit-down service. The cashier looked at the receipt as I wrote it, lifted up the receipt to look at it in front of me? Then I asked for red pepper flakes and they said that they charge for them. When did that become a thing?
I’m 21 and worked at a high-end pizza (~$40 for a large pizza) in the Bay Area place last summer. I never ever would do that to a customer, look at their receipt in front of them and base my service off of what they tip me. I also never charged for red pepper flakes *that I packed*, even. We would charge for the ranch and I would only charge them if they were exceptionally rude to me, but here I just gave them my name for the order . And I don’t expect a tip when I hand a customer a to-go order. I do expect a tip when I’m handing a customer water, putting in their order, bringing them their order, checking in on them, checking on allergies with the kitchen, and providing general hospitality. And kitchen staff doesn’t usually receive more than 50% of the tip anyways.
This genuinely made me so mad when it happened. My manager trained me on *manners*, the managers here need to do the same…

Bring back the old cookie recipe, it was different, but it was awesome! The new cookies don’t hit like they used to.

Ordered a large extra-cheese. Staff was friendly and service was quick. We were really happy with the quality of the pizza. Crust was soft and doughy and a little sweet. Will return!

When we first moved to San Diego, we lived in Encinitas and lived right near Leucadia Pizza there, and we loved it. But that was only for three months until we moved downtown.
Now that we discovered this location right by where I work, we’ve rediscovered our love of Leucadia Pizza. As an East Coast pizza snob, I can give my seal of approval that this pizza is top quality. A perfect mix of sauce/cheese and nothing superfluous. The price is on point and they do offer delivery within a certain radius. I also like that the slice sizes aren’t massive, so if you get an appetizer, you can enjoy both without getting full right away.
Whenever the folks I work with suggest pizza for lunch, I get excited that we get to order from Leucadia.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC. I doordashed an order to my house and on the Doordash app, it doesn’t allow you to add ranch. So I called the pizzeria and asked them kindly to add ranch to my order and I even offered to give them my card over the phone if it was extra and the employee (although she was polite), said there was no way we could add ranch to my order, nor make an exception by adding ranch. I SPENT OVER 45 dollars and I couldn’t even get some extra ranch??? (this is my cheat meal for the week and I was really looking forward to it).
I just am appalled that a business could be so stingy over some ranch that they’re willing to lose a customer in which they did today. Absolutely disgusting.

I would suggest you add an option on your 3 party delivery sites for sides of sauce. This causes issues for your employees and customers. It’s a very silly issue which doesn’t need to be an issue. I ordered from DoorDash but normally order my large family orders to be delivered by the store. When my dasher arrived at the store with my request of ranch for my order he had the manager call me. I informed Jessica to please charge me for this additional item. She informed me that she could not add a charge to my DoorDash order. After a 5 minute call going back and forth she finally said she could take my card over the phone. Instead of starting with a negative answer of no I cannot accommodate your request I suggest you begin with a solution to the problem. It’s not Jessica’s fault but you should ensure your employees are able to fix their issues instead of making their job more difficult. I always enjoy your food and don’t want to have a negative experience to no longer order from you.

Only had the Antipasto salad – very good. Staff at the counter was not friendly. Maybe just a bad day.

Their pizzas are good. I have been ordering pizzas from this location for several years. Last time, after paying them a 20% tip on a $31 pizza, I asked the cashier for a few packets of chili. She promptly charged me 18 cents for the three packets. Come to think about it, why should I even pay them even $1 tip when I place the order online, walk inside and pick up the pizza? What services are they providing for a tip? I decided then on that the counter staff at this location do not deserve any tips. When would these people understand that tips are for services provided, not mandatory? Taking my money and handing over the pizza is not a service. Would you pay a tip if you pickup ready to eat cold or hot food from Ralph’s or Von’s at the cash register?
