Social Profile:

Let’s Taco Bout It” opened its doors in February 2016. However, our story began in 1991, when our patriarch, Rafael Jimenez Sr., started offering favorite family recipes to our community in a taco truck. Think of that innovative approach? He was using a food truck BEFORE it was all the rage. Thanks, dad! Thus, Taqueria Jimenez was born. To this day, we operate our parent company in the heart of Reading, Pennsylvania still offering authentic Mexican food almost 30 years later! “Let’s Taco Bout It” is a nod to both our rich Mexican roots and our love of pop culture. Let’s Taco, we believe in an uncomplicated approach; great food and great service. We hope your tacos are stuffed, your ceviche is fresh and your horchata is always full!

Easygoing, quick-serve outpost serving Mexican classics such as tacos & hearty burritos.

This place is AMAZING. From the name alone: Let’s Taco About It (pun totally intended ) you already know it’s going to be fun. The food is next level: the Stretchy Pants (a gordita) and the torta are absolute standouts, especially when you get them campechano. The mix of meats is insanely flavorful and takes both dishes to another level, easily a must-order.

What really makes this place special, though, is the vibe. The décor features El Santo movie posters, which is such a cool nod to Mexican pop culture. Those films are iconic, combining lucha libre, action, sci-fi, and campy storytelling, and El Santo himself is a cultural legend in Mexico. Overall, great food, great atmosphere, and tons of personality. Come hungry, bring your stretchy pants, and enjoy every bite.

This is truly the best Mexican food in Reading. Only the nachos do I prefer somewhere else, every thing else is definitely the best here. All of it! The Stretchy Pants and Mexican corn cob are my favorites. I usually get take out as I like a bit of cushion on my chairs to dine in, but I keep coming back for the food! There’s plenty of yummy food pics on Google, so I’ll add something different. Look at the packaging. They take on a bit more cost to care about our planet. Perfection! And the staff is great too!

An outstanding place for Mexican food.

I write a lot of reviews and usually leave positive feedback. The problem with doing that is when there is an exceptional restaurant, I can only give it 5 stars.

I came here on a whim after driving to the Reading area on a Sunday night. By complete accident, I walked in seeing the “taco” flag outside. Let me be clear, this is some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. They call it “dynasty”, but you may know it as “al pastor” and it is out of this world delicious. Like better than the district taco al pastor I had when I lived in Washington DC.

Highly recommended. Bring your appetite. Let’s definitely “taco” bout it.

Disappointed to find out Birria is only on F-Sun weekends, but ordered the carne asada anaconda burrito with everything. The Carne asada was very good with beans, rice, guacamole, but next time I would leave out corn as it didn’t fit texturally well with other ingredients. The verde and red bottled sauce lacked a kick / flavor which was disappointing. Chips look to be homemade and queso was very good, overall 4 stars, friendly people clean environment and prices reasonable.

Tacos were great! I tried the chicken, chorizo, and port w/ pineapple and liked them all.

The location was nice on Penn. the restaurant was clean. Surprised that there were not more people for a 6pm on a Saturday but I won’t complain 🙂

Went back more recently and it was wonderful. I had the senor Ramon tacos that the bits of grilled pineapple go well with the meat. My favorite is the corn though! Got some horchata but, with all the powder that didn’t mix well at the bottom of the cup, I would pass.

I thought the name of this place was a cute play on words, so it immediately caught my attention as I drove though West Reading, Pennsylvania looking for a place to eat with my family. The inside of this Mexican grill pays homage to old “luchador” films from way back when with framed original posters hanging on the walls of the restaurant. Besides tacos, this place also has burritos, fresh guacamole, tortilla chips, and other options. There are a large assortment of Jarritos Mexican beverages in their refrigerator. I ordered a chicken burrito. It was flavorful, fresh, and tasted like it was made from authentic ingredients. The soft tacos were also tasty and authentic. Each of our food dishes were served with small containers of green sauce and red sauce. The red sauce was spicy and the green sauce was on the mild side. Overall, my family and I enjoyed their food. Half of us thought that this place had tastier dishes than Chipotle.
