I’ve dined in and ordered carry out. Both times the service, appearance of food, and timeliness is as would be expected from a restaurant that strives for good service. I’ve enjoyed the Cesar salad, boudin balls, hush puppies, crawfish, etouffee, and scallops between both visits. The turtle cheesecake is incredible! I do recommend this restaurant and would say the prices are aligned with the quality of food and ingredients. The portions are also generous. If you’re being money savvy or a light eater, you could easily split an appetizer and meal.

The online menu has prices listed that they won’t honor. I ordered based on the menu on their website and was charged $14 more than the stated price. They said that was an old menu and pulled out a new menu that wasn’t included online. They refused to honor their online prices so make sure you know what the prices are when you order. The food was excellent-the only complaint was about the pricing online as apposed to the price in the restaurant. I just feel they should have honored their price. I believe you have a good thing going

Finally, a family owned Seafood Restaurant that has a huge menu of fresh fried and grilled seafood, lots of salads, appetizers, burgers and even a kids menu. I’ve had lunch here three times since they opened and everything is tasty and delicious. The shrimp and drum are fresh and perfectly fried. We always start with a Bombay or Avocado salad that is perfect. They have their own tartar sauce (in addition to plain) which is slightly spicy and nicely seasoned.
My daughter ordered fish tacos stuffed full and topped with avocado. She loved it.
This is a winner for Portland Texas! And I won’t have to drive an hour to Kings Inn for my fish and shrimp fix anymore! 🙂

Have been here 3 times in 2 weeks. Such great food…oh my. Service is great too. Very clean Restaurant. Worth our drive across town. Yumm. Avocado salad is on spot, the drum is incredible, hubs had seafood platter. Nice size shrimp too. Took a bite of hubs Soft shell crab…its like no other a must try for all. Highly recommend!!

Nice seafood addition to Portland. Place has a good vibe. I had the fried black drum ($20, listed as “Market Price”). Nice portion, it and the slaw were both good. I’d actually rate it just over 4 stars but in all I was satisfied with the entire plate. I was over there on business by myself so I sat at the bar. The experience with the bartender was a bit strange, when I ordered she repeated everything back incorrectly. In fairness she seemed distracted by something else going on and it was busy and noisy but ‘hey, pay attention to your customer’, I tip well but deducted a little (still was about 20%) because it was not top notch service. Other than that a good experience & I will not hesitate to go back. Doesn’t always come up on Google Maps as I understand it is very new. It’s by the Philly Sandwich place on Railroad.
