Pleasantly surprised. This will be one of my regulars now. Spicy but not over the top. Best flavor I’ve had in a while. Rice tastes authentic and not like it came from a box. Scallops are delish. Beer is cold.

What a local gem in the hill country! I wasn’t expecting greatness but that’s what I got? The food arrived hot and amazing. Haley was so attentive and gave us exceptional service. This place is definitely on our regular rotation! My only recommendation would be the fries were flat….wish they would have been steak cut or crinkle cut fries. Prices are very reasonable for the quality! We’ll be back! Haley’s the bomb!!!!

I hadn’t researched this place at all before I went. I was initially expecting this restaurant to be very boujee and expensive, since a family member’s mega-wealthy client recommended it. It has a welcoming atmosphere when you go on a busy night, and the inside of the restaurant is very “sea themed” appropriate but it’s definitely not “high class” in appearance. It’s casual and comfortable. The food my step dad and I received was very delicious, settled well in the stomach and the $ value for the money is outstanding. I was shocked and very impressed. Highly recommend! Everything was perfect, and the restrooms are very clean

I won a gift card here so I thought I’d give it a try this past weekend. That was my first time trying fried alligator and it was really good! The cocktail sauce paired well with it. I also ordered the avocado salad and the server said it was a smaller portion, which is why it only had two of the three shrimp, but it wasn’t fully a half-sized portion? I got charged the full price so I was a little confused by that, but I went with it.

The two main reasons I didn’t make this five stars is due to my wait (someone seated me but no one knew I was there) and my bill getting jumbled. They charged my card the full amount plus a 10% tip AND took the gift card amount. Apparently, someone else’s order was applied to mine. They have since corrected it, but that was an interesting situation for sure. I do plan to visit again to try out other options.

Good seafood place not far from Marble falls. Got shrimp, nothing fancy. Fried green tomatoes were good just cut a little too thick i think. Did have the syrup for the special cocktail advertised, only reason didn’t give 5 on service. Waiter was good.

Consistently good. And by consistent- I mean for the past 8 years or so. Remarkable, good fresh seafood.

I have tried the trout fish tacos… they were remarkable. They recently started using flounder, which I quite like- but my wife prefers the trout. If you guys are reading this, give us a trout option for the tacos.

But what do I really care? I’ve been eating the fried gulf shrimp every time I’m there. Fresh, delicious batter is perfectly done. And if you can find a better remolaude sauce in central Texas , I’d like to hear about it!

Good food… just not “great” food. We went here on a recommendation from a friend. We are big fans of “peel-n-eat” shrimp so that was our main reason for coming here.

We were seated immediately upon walking in the door. They have plenty of parking but it was late at night in January, so warmer times of the year they might be busier. Our drink order was taken right away but oddly we weren’t asked if we wanted to start off with anything as an appetizer. I had an iced tea (unsweet) and it was good but not very fresh.

For an appetizer we had the spinach artichoke dip with chips. The dip is good and the chips are fresh. Just know, it’s big and could easily be enough for four people. As mentioned, we are big fans of “peel-n-eat” shrimp so we each had an order. The shrimp are big and are boiled in a Cajun seasoning and served over ice. It came to the table and the shrimp were still pretty warm. No lemons and no horseradish. The shrimp were undercooked. They should have been boiled just a bit longer and then immersed in ice water. And traditionally peel-n-eat are served with lemon wedges and horseradish with the cocktail sauce.

For the meal we ordered a Caesar salad and grilled Mahi with baked potato and grilled asparagus. My friend had a few bites of the salad and stopped eating. The lettuce was old and there seemed to be an abundance of the dressing making it just a soggy mess. The Mahi was okay, but not fresh. The potato was very good (loaded) and the grilled asparagus was great.

To top off the meal, we shared a slice of Turtle Cheesecake. The cheesecake was good but I’m pretty sure they do not bake it. So, overall the meal was good and we would go back to try some other items. If they had only cooked the shrimp a little more it would have been perfect. Seems like a fun place and nice people. I’m sure we will try again.

Update : after a few visits, based on how much the local community loves this place, I have learned to stick with the fried food. It has become one of my favorite places in the Highland Lakes area. The shrimp and trout steal the show for entrees. Pepper jack hush puppies are a unique twist on a classic. And the margaritas are some of the best in the area. The food is great if the right choices are made. The experience can be challenging based on the hit or miss staff. Previous review: Everything about this was bad. The staff was uninformed or uninterested, probably a combination of both. And based on my experience, it starts with the owner and management. To be fair, the vegetables were fresh so I will give credit for that. I will also acknowledge that I requested to sit on the patio and I was the only person on the patio. I arrived last Saturday afternoon at a time that it was not exceptionally busy and there was adequate staffing. I waited 10 minutes or so for my server. She took my order and repeated it to me. I asked for the wifi password, she said she would have to find out what it is. About 20 minutes later she returned with the wrong order and no password. She said she would have my order corrected. I explained that the WiFi password is important to me because I needed to download documents. Another 15-20 minutes, she returned with the correct order but no password. The shrimp on my order was supposed to be grilled and was not but I was going to let it slide. The food was completely without character or flavor. I just wanted to eat and leave as quickly as possible by then. She stepped back out and gave me the incorrect password and my check. I was billed for a full po’boy instead of a half po’boy that I ordered. My waitress had stepped back in before I could let her know. Fed up with it all, I called the restaurant and asked for the manager instead of waiting for my server again. He apologized and said he would have to call another manager on the phone. I told him I didn’t want anything comped, I just wanted to be billed correctly. He also said he didn’t know what she had rang up or why she didn’t ask him for the password. He explained that their system was complicated. When he returned from correcting my bill, he asked for my phone number so the owner could call me. It has been 8 days with no follow up. I noticed that my Map records showed I was there for over an hour ordering a sandwich and dealing with incompetence and excuses for mediocre food. Never again.

I ordered the snow crab legs and they were delicious. My husband ordered a pasta dish from the menu and was completely disgusted. He said the sauce tasted congealed. He said it was clearly reheated in the microwave and he wanted to leave as soon as I finished my dinner. I was very disappointed and had hoped we had found a place in Marble Falls we both liked. The location was quaint and quiet, perfect for date night, relaxed, yet very nice. Our servicer was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu items. I can’t say we’ll be back, but I hope so. Maybe reevaluate the pasta dish preparation? And taste it before sending it out to the customer? Just a friendly suggestion..

I like this place a lot, I always get the baked potato with bacon and butter and cheese, it is very good. The service is very nice and they refill drinks and take orders in a very timely manner. I really like the atmosphere and all of the lively people. This is also a very nice place to go for lent. I don’t live in Marble Falls, but whenever I come to visit I always make sure to visit
