As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for 20 years I HAVE NEVER had an experience quite like this. My husband and I went for the first time this evening and got the all you can eat catfish. It was close to closing time and we only had one serving, we asked could we just change our ticket to 2 catfish platters so we could take what we didnt eat with us. We understood that paying for the all you can eat price you cannot take it with you, that’s fine…we asked to just have our ticket changed to reflect the more expensive price of catfish platters. We were met with the most rude and outrageous behavior from 2 men that work there. We were berated about the “all you can eat” and when being completely disrespected the man from the back stepped right in front of my husband and myself being incredibly rude. The other guy looked at my husband and said “you’re standing there like you’re somebody”.. the poor waitress was telling the men to stop and they kept on. We paid our tab, tipped the waitress, and left. We will not be back and it was our first visit. This is an extremely shortened version of the event. I will be contacting someone tomorrow regarding the behavior of these men and hopefully they can find a way to get people with more respect working in this restaurant.

Ate here a dozen times in June/July `25. This is not Red Lobster, nor some “fancy” seafood place. These are home-folk, kind, engaging, knew us after our third visit. Their menu is very large, portions are very good, and the food is spectacular for the price. Yes, they are next to an oil change garage and and laundromat, but the food, service, and atmosphere is terrific.

This is some of the best fried seafood I have eaten anywhere. Don’t let the appearance of the place fool you. It’s not fancy, but was clean and the service was top notch. Food came out quick, and was hot and fresh. This is going to be my go-to place for seafood from now on.

Lester’s was very quiet there was no wait time and we got a free order of fried pickles because the captain from our swamp tour recommend this restaurant to us. Their famous macaroni and cheese is delicious and the wait staff was very nice and catered to all of our needs.
