They serve you fast, so if you’re just interested in coming in and grabbing a coffee then it’s perfect. Would absolutely recommend.
It was bad energy and inconsistent vibes and customer service. I have to stand up for myself. And, I will always stand up for myself.
It makes me feel uncomfortable that I pointed out one of the dudes treatment and he continues to be mean towards me and dismissive…..I don’t think I’ll be returning to this location, unfortunately.
I know I’m a lady and deserve to be treated respectfully. I smiled at him to show friendliness, only to be met w an angry and serious look….
So, I’m getting punished for standing up for myself here, for the bad vibes I’m getting, that I don’t deserve, in the first place, from this person who works here. Handing my drink to me, without any engagement and walking away fast, without looking up to me was mean.
This all was manipulation. . .
Edit:
One of the dudes was being a little mean to me. . . Note: Please don’t be mean, I am for you guys 🙂
. . I did appreciate the free drink when I came here. Nick was also cool and yes I’ve been a long time fan of Lestat’s. Love the young lady that works here, too.
Edit: Ok. I went back and Honestly, this is a great cafe. Instead of 2 Stars, I gave 4. But, it deserves a 5. I took 1 Star out coz I said “Bye” when I left and felt dismissed. . . in that moment coz I was ignored. ;p Or, when one of the dudes made me wait a little when I was ready to order. I do not condone this. But, he has been sweet, as well. And, is very hard-working. This place deserves a 5 star, overall. And, the employees have been cool with me (so far :3) and shown a welcoming and friendly interaction, as well, and are interesting people. 🙂 I appreciated the effort made and respectful convo given today. I acknowledge the efforts. But, I have to stand up for myself about the other stuff, too.
Old Review:
Just wanted to share… that I know it’s been smoothed over and all. But, I want to write this review for the Manager or Owner, (I think he was one or the other )
Just a message to him to Please keep things professional, not letting emotions escalate because I did feel uncomfortable with the interaction I had with him, at first, even if it was smoothed over. …But, I don’t want to have another one that would cause any discomforts. This is a great, indie cafe…And, the 2 people I have interacted w her one of very hardworking and the other gal is sweet. And, so I appreciate your business and would just like to keep things respectful and professional moving forward. Thank you for your business.
Today, the cashier working (a man with greying hair who seems to hate his job) jumped on me because he thought I’d gone in with coffee. He started naming policies that supposedly prohibit me from going into a coffee shop with coffee – made a scene. Had he instead asked me what I was drinking, I could have told him it was a protein shake – caffeine free!
I don’t expect outstanding customer service of anyone, but I also don’t think it’s appropriate to harass patrons without asking if they’re even doing what you think they’re doing.
The kicker was once my colleague arrived, I told him what happened and he said he’s come in here with actual coffee and nobody has ever harassed him for it.
Anyway, there are better and nicer (including personality-wise) coffee spots in the city. Go to Lovesong, Provecho!, Coffee & Tea Collective, Holsem. And cashiers there are kind.
