Leo’s Greek Castle is a small, cozy, and welcoming spot with a friendly neighborhood feel. The atmosphere is intimate and inviting, and the service was excellent, our server, Liberty, was genuinely sweet and attentive.

The food was delicious, as always. I even tried something new this time, a sneak peek at a special: the banh mi with falafel. It definitely packs some heat, but the flavor combination was fantastic, the kimchi with the warm pita worked surprisingly well and was really satisfying. Get it while they serve it because it won’t always be on the menu.

Leo’s is a local gem in Hillcrest. I’ve been going there for years and have never been disappointed. It was the perfect place to warm up and enjoy a comforting meal on a chilly day. Highly recommend.

I had the Greek omelette with feta. :)(: smells and looks delicious.

The gyro meet was cooked to perfection! I like my meat a little crunchy and it was absolutely perfect.

They do offer alcoholic drinks. So to my girlies, come get a bucket of mimosas for $13! Literally, I can’t find that cheaper anywhere else.

My friend had the country breakfast. He said it was so good he practically inhaled it.

We both had the brewed coffee. Standard cup of coffee.

I dropped by after a long Saturday run to check off one of my cheeseburger hunts and I was not disappointed. Service was great, the cheeseburger was amazing. So juicy it disengrated the bun before I was done. Paired with an ice box cold Hamm’s beer, which was new to me, and it was an awesome stop. BUT … Then I saw the hotcakes. They were the size of hubcaps, thick and fluffy and steamy. So now I have to go back

Another recent disappointing experience.

Dear Leo’s Greek Castle Management,

I usually visit your restaurant three to four times a week to get a salad, and it has always been one of my favorite places to eat. However, during my most recent visit, I had a disappointing experience that I feel should be brought to your attention.

When I went in to purchase my usual salad, I noticed a new sign at the register stating there would be a 20% charge added to all *to-go* orders for tips. I asked the person at the register why there would be a tip charge for to-go orders. He responded with visible frustration, saying that customers don’t leave tips on to-go orders even though he prepares food, fixes drinks, and waits on tables.

I asked why this charge would apply to takeout customers rather than dine-in guests, but he repeated the same explanation. While he claimed to be working alone, I noticed two other male workers coming out from the kitchen during our conversation.

Additionally, I observed that the employee’s hand and wrist were bandaged, and his fingernails appeared quite dirty, which was concerning from a food safety standpoint.

This is the second time I’ve had a poor experience at this location, which is disappointing considering how often I’ve supported your business. I wanted to bring this to your attention in hopes that it can be addressed appropriately.

Thank you for taking the time to review this matter.

Sincerely,

I usually enjoy coming to Leo’s Greek Castle, but today I had a very disappointing experience. I walked in around 2:55–2:56 p.m. to order a salad. There were still customers sitting outside waiting for their food, so it was clear they were still serving. However, I was told they would not take my order because they “close at 3:00.” If you’re open until 3:00, customers who arrive before that time should be served.

What made this experience worse is that it left me questioning if I was treated differently because I’m Black. As a loyal customer who comes here often, that’s very disheartening. At the very least, it’s poor customer service to turn away someone before closing time while still serving others.

Allow me to start by saying that I love Leo’s, and it’s one of my favorite places in Little Rock from a food standpoint. But the quality of service has degraded to a point that is completely unprofessional and frankly unacceptable.

I arrived for breakfast on December 31, 2025, with some out of town guests to show them one of my favorite spots. I only include the date so that the employee who was working that shift can be handled by management accordingly. What we encountered was our waiter who was a young man in pajamas, clearly strung out on drugs/alcohol, making anti-Semitic remarks, smoking a cigarette at our table, messing up checks, asking to spike our coffee, borderline harassing customers about how upset he was about working on New Year’s Eve, among other issues. I have never been more appalled by an eating experience in my entire life. Food was still great though.

To ownership/management, please take care of this employee. If I ever walk into your establishment and am greeted by that young man again, I will never come back. I’m happy to speak with management further on this matter.

Sincerely,
A Loyal Customer

Ordered four gyros with fries and 2 appetizers for carry out. Arrived to pick up and was told the total was over $100! I asked why it was so much more than the price on the menu and was told that there was a service charge for “large orders”. (Other reviewers said that they were told this was a mandatory tip for carry out orders so I guess the story changes depending upon who you are.) Normally I would have told them to keep it but we were there with people at the hospital nearby and I needed to quickly return with the food so I reluctantly paid. My hope was that the food would at least be excellent quality to somewhat justify the ridiculous price. It was not. Mediocre at best. Even if it had been $10 a plate wouldn’t go back. Spend your money elsewhere.

Wonderful evening to eat outside on the picnic table. Prompt and kind service. Food was fresh and tasty. Historic restaurant in the Heights. Definitely recommend for a fun affordable night out. PBR beers are super cheap too!

Service was not great and the gyro was not good at all and the baklava was a weird texture and tasted old. The first picture is Leo’s Greek Castle and the other picture is a REAL gyro from another spot. Please do better

First time here and they absolutely delivered the yum. As a long time resident of the city, I don’t know how I managed to miss out on this place. Absolutely blissful. I had the breakfast Pita with feta and gyro meat added and it was absolutely amazing! Very flavorful and textures were a joy. I highly recommend trying it. The only thing different I’ll do for next visit is pair it with a coffee. Wonderfully done, Leo’s!

The gyros are amazing. Great place to eat. Really good burgers too. Must try the fries. They have 75¢ beer. Small business and can get busy. but well worth the wait.
