I’m here to rave about the Weekend Special: Menudo. IYKYK it’s a traditional Mexican soup, peppery, tangy with tripe, served with tortilla and it’s delicious.

A friend brought us here for breakfast today and we were not disappointed! The food was amazing! The coffee was hot and brewed well-no burnt or bitter flavor. Portions were good, but not overwhelming. Eggs were cooked to order. The only drawbacks are that the dining room is a bit crowded and the one route through feels like walking through a portion of the kitchen. We could definitely see past this though to enjoy another delicious meal here!

Food was bland and pre-prepared. My meatloaf was refried on a griddle/pan, with a crispy side and a strange cumin taste. The green beans and mashed potatoes were ok. The coleslaw was good. I will not be returning to this establishment. I went a long time ago when it was good eating, not anymore.

Solid place for a meal after a day at the dunes. They have a lot of dishes with a Mexican flair to them, and they do them well. Most of the other stuff is typical lunch type stuff you’d expect from a restaurant like this.
They also carry sugar free syrup for those watching their blood sugar levels.

Recently had my first visit as I was in Lakeville for a meeting. Very friendly staff, the bistec a la mexicana was very good as the steak was tender and the corn tortillas were served hot. They had a steady lunch crowd of what I’d guess were many locals, many seemed to know the staff which is always a good sign. The interior is very plain and could definitely use a fresh coat of paint.

If I lived nearby, I’m not sure I’d eat anywhere else. Unpretentious, fabulous food, and the service is great. My MIL does eat here often and everyone knows Linda by name and treats her like family.
