We had a great meal at Leo’s Coney Island on Michigan Avenue. The food was excellent—fresh, hot, and exactly what you expect from a solid Coney Island spot.
The only downside was the service pace. Our waitress was friendly, but refills were tough to get. A couple of times she mentioned she was grabbing a refill, then got pulled into several other tasks and came back later realizing the refills never made it to the table. It happened twice during our visit.
Overall, still a very good experience because the food delivered. With a little more attentiveness on refills, this would easily be a 5-star visit.

I’d like to preface this review by stating that I appreciate and respect Food Service workers. Having been one myself and having led food service teams alike. When it relates to customer service and food quality i definitely know what that looks like. With that said, I typically only go to L Georges Coney Island. This day, they were closed and i was under the weather. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and being a fatboy, i typcally eat most things without complaining.
However, this grilled chicken salad had to be the most unappealing and disgusting salad ive ever had in my 40 years of being on earth.
The chicken was rubbery and seemed undercooked and like it came out of a frozen bag. When i called to complain and inquire about the return policy or what my options were, the Representative who i spoke with, was a sweetheart but could not assist me. So i was told to come in with the salad so that they could “see” it. I was under the weather and after the 2nd day of having the salad in the fridge decided to let this go. They can keep my money and i put the salad down the garbage disposal. I just felt like no one cared.
So, Moral of the story, stick to the rivers and lakes youre used to. I will not return to Leos.

Quality diner with good food-
The food variety here was crazy, and the portion sizes were quite generous. Everything tasted pretty decent too. Prices are on the slightly lower end, but will never be what they used to be. All in all, a good spot to have a filling breakfast.

There was some hair in my food. The food is ok but u can tell it’s not fresh like they cook a bunch of food and have it sitting there till they fill a order. 2nd time eating here but definitely last

DO NOT COME HERE. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE. AWFUL SERVICE. AND THE SHIFT LEADER TARA IS THE MOST DISRESPECTFUL, INATTENTIVE, RUDE employee I’ve ever met. This establishment is ran poorly and I’m reminded of why I stopped coming here. They tried to make us pay for something we sent back. We order a chicken Kabob and only took a small piece of the food to know that we didn’t like it. We were ready to order something else in exchange of the meal that was barely touched and unenjoyable, until the waitress came back informing us that we would HAVE to pay for it. When asked to speak to the manager, the shift manager TARA never came over to the table. When approached at the counter, she became confrontational and she was not looking to ease the situation. The shift manager was not looking to accommodate in any way shape or form and instead was gossiping about the situation to other employees. This is not how a business should be ran and the store manager DJ should be ashamed of her hired staff.

The first time I ordered out and my chicken wasn’t cooked all the way through. Gave them a second chance, I ordered a chicken Caesar salad told them no croutons as I am gluten sensitive. My salad came out without chicken, it had powder parmesan, pita on top, and no chicken. Server was not knowledgeable and messed up twice when taking my order. Will not give a third chance.

First time coming to this location, but have been to others for several years. No complaints other than the slightly higher breakfast prices than I recall. Food was good. I had the BLT Pita with side of hash browns. Service good. Would return if in area again.

I found everything to be average. The chicken in my dish was not very fresh and our salad was just ok. The interior was in need of a cleaning ( probably due to being short staffed). The wait staff was kind and attentive. I’ll give them another chance.

Even though the place is new, new building and construction.. the interior looks old, exactly like any other leo’s,, what??
I got my usual veggie skillet. Was prepped good.. I was for cheese.. she charged me twice for the extra cheese.. grrr.
The spinach pie was very average the crust tasted little old.. I would not get that again..
Coffee is standard, they do not have fresh squeezed orange juice..
Plenty of dedicated parking.
