Speaking to management doesn’t help either. They’ll offer a small credit, but nothing ever changes.
The service has really gone downhill. The carryout staff always seem miserable, yet still expect a tip—for what, a bad attitude? I’ve started coming here less and less, and every time I do give it another chance, I end up regretting it.
Save yourself the frustration and disappointment!!!

My journey finds me once more in need of food and drink. In the weariness of hunger, I stumble into the welcoming atmosphere of a most curious restaurant: Leo’s Coney Island. The polite staff seated me and my party almost immediately. I turn to my menu, dreading to find Pepsi products, like the restaurant in which I dined for lunch. However, I was pleasantly surprised to locate Coca-Cola products on the drink menu. Despite their lack of DrPepper (diabolical), they had MrPibb, which in my opinion, is an even greater refreshment. As I searched the menu for a satisfactory entree option, I was bombarded with a large variety of options, storming the gates of the small castle that is the limited capacity of my mind. Our order was taken almost as quickly as I chose my selection.
“The Coney Combo,” I said to myself, “a classic!” It came with a Greek salad. I’ve never eaten a Greek before, but it’s taste was so great, as if not from an average Greek, but from that of a Greek god or nobleman. The presentation of the food was an easy 10 out of 10 and the flavor was amazing. And hark! KETCHUP. Perchance, you’ve read my previous reviews, in which case, I need say no more on my views of ketchup. The drink refills came in a timely order, filling my cup with the succulent flavor of the man they called MrPibb. Verily a great experience indeed. I highly recommend this royal palace of an establishment.
The restaurant was not super busy but it have some diners. We were greeted and told to find a seat anywhere that was open. After we sat down a server came by and asked us what we’d like to drink. A couple of Iced teas, mine with lemon hers without.
I ordered the gyro combo with fries and a baby Greek salad and I also added a cup of the chicken lemon rice soup. My wife had the same thing except hers was with the bean soup.
Although the sandwich was good, it looked like they were using GFS Euro meat and not sliced fresh from a Gyro meat log. The meat seemed a bit overcooked and the sandwich looked rather anemic.
There were signs at the booths explaining that costs were higher and that the price would be higher than what the menu listed. Our gyro dinners were about a $1.25 more than what was listed in the menu. To me, that was very reasonable given the recent increase in prices due to the economy.
The soups were excellent the sandwiches were good and the fries were crispy. What more do you want!
