We were pleasantly surprised at Leon’s. First,
Leon and our server Gio were hospitable and attentive. We had a mini-pizza each. The Chicken Bacon Ranch and the Veggie with added sausage. They were delicious. Perfect crust in the space between crispy and soft. The sauce was tasty and spiced just right. The pizza size was just right.
We’re excited to go back this Friday for the Lent Fish Fry. Maybe I’ll sneak a mini-pizza too.
Leon’s is a delight. Go.

Nice little place to eat. The service was fast and friendly and prices were reasonable. The food was exceptional. I had the Farmer which is a tenderloin and cheeseburger together and it was amazing. My wife had the taco pizza and it was very good as well. Their combination fried appetizer was quite large and their brosted potatoes were delicious.

Leon’s is celebrating 50 years. Great food and very friendly owner and staff. This is where the locals hang out and it diner’s, dives, and drives worthy. Try the garbage pizza which is not on the regular menu. Worth it.

Pizza is salty and over cooked. So salty that I had to spit it out. The crust tastes like a frozen crust, not even a good quality frozen crust. Plus. there is an additional 3.45% added it you use debit cards. Stay away from the bacon cheese burger. You don’t taste any bacon, tastes like salty sloppy Joe’s. If you have a low sodium diet to follow, don’t get the bacon cheese burger.

Had the tenderloin, potato salad, blt, and beef and noodle soup. Tenderloin was perfect size and fried to perfection, BLT was great, the show stoppers though were the potato salad and beef and noodle soup. Potato salad was just like my gma made it and never had anyone elses like it (savory, not sweet) and it was FANTASTIC!! Beef and noodle soup was jam packed with ingredients (peas, green beans, onions, potato, reames egg noodles and beef) and it was perfectly made. We drive all over the state trying small restaurants in small towns on sundays (from Des Moines) and let me tell you, we will be coming back JUST for this place!!!!! For all that and two sodas, it was $26. I was staggered when I say how reasonably priced it was! Also, the owner was very friendly and offered to let us take a cup of potato salad home but they ran out but the offer was amazingly gracious! Great family owned place and it definitely has a “country family kitchen” vibe which I’m obsessed with!! I cannot express how much of a privilege it was to enjoy a lunch here!!!

Taco pizza is great! Service is above average. Leon himself is wonderful. Price is good. Burgers are okay, but this is really a pizza spot. Still have not tried the chicken. Spaghetti is okay. We have gone for lunch, dinner, and takeout/delivery. Extremely popular after church on Sunday’s.
