Leonore’s Deli & Taqueria is the true unsung hero of San Francisco…we’ll, Van Ness Avenue for sure! I was on my way to Pinky Doolittles flat with little Shaver, and she wanted to snag a sandwich at the board, but I wanted a big fat burrito so we flipped a coin…you know heads I win, tails you loose, well, she lost and we went to Leonore’s Deli & Taqueria, she got an amazing sandwich and I got an even more amazing burrito! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

One of the best burritos I’ve ever had! This family owned business makes everything homemade and the salsas are to die for. Couldn’t recommend enough. Had both breakfast burritos and carne asada and wow! Get extra salsa if you like sauce! You won’t regret it. The cappuccino was great too.

Loved the vibe of the owner. He was grateful to have business. I got pesto omelet which comes with hash brown and choice of bread. I asked and got English muffin. Big plate to go that i split into 2 meals. Made a muffin sandwich out of it. The egg burrito with choice of meat (sausage) was huge. I want to know how many eggs was in there. It was like bottomless. They have chairs and tables in the courtyard. Great to hang out.

I enjoyed this little spot. Felt homey, liked how there’s plenty of parking in or around the building. Employees were great right off the bat, food was good, and service was pretty quick. Presentation was nice, green chilaquiles, eggs with rice and beans, they care. They probably have it all here, great if you’re in a hurry and don’t have much time or even if you do, there’s several tables available. The wall pictures of old San Francisco are really Kool I got a kick of the way sf was back in the day. Place was clean and if you’re nice they might let u use the head.

I’ve never had anything but very fresh food here and the place is clean. It might be a challenge to find it’s in the very back behind the theater to the right. There’s also an entrance off turk halfway up the block.

Honestly one of the best breakfast burritos I’ve had in the city. Do not get it with sausage it over powers it too much and takes away all of the flavor. Instead order it vegetarian style or with chorizo / bacon to enhance the flavor. If you like yours with a little crunch request it with hash brown. After coming back it’s not the same.

We appreciated the lightly toasted tortillas and homestyle feel. Friendly service. We’ll be coming back for the breakfast burritos! This place is a little hard to find, tucked behind the opera Plaza Theatre, but rewards the effort.
