Will fly for food
Cool old Italian pizza by the slice and sandwich shop. Had a thin crispy slice and an Italian sub with fries. They have a 2 slice and a soda deal. Pinball and arcade games.

This is my favorite pizza place. The pizza is top quality and the service is fast and efficient. The Oak Park Mall location has the same people working every time I visit. That says alot about the quality of staff and how they treat their employees. The pizza slices are huge and well priced. I will always go here when I have a craving for pizza.

Best pizza in Kansas City!!!
I was craving pizza at lunch time today and happened to drive by. I picked up two large slices for $10. It was without a doubt the best pizza I’ve had in Kansas City! The crust was perfect and and so delicious. The employees were very friendly and I believe it was the owner who stepped out from behind the counter to say welcome as I was waiting. I highly recommend and will definitely be back

I love this pizza place. I love that I can get a big slice if I want it or a whole pizza. When you go in for a slice they cut it off for you, then stick it in their pizza oven. It comes out ooey gooey the crispy crust. I love their crust

I’d like to start by staying I’ve read the reviews of some of the precious reviewers who “want” NY Style Pizza, then leave a negative review of why this is actually NY Style. I hope your privileges get revoked, you contribute nothing to society. They complained about what actually makes this NY Style.

As a lifetime resident of NY who recently relocated to the Midwest, I’d given up looking for NY style pizza. Until today!

What makes it NY Style you might be asking?
Thin crust, crunchy yet chewy. Uncooked tomatoes which makes the sauce sweet but not overpowering. A low-moisture Mozz which crisps and bubbles. Large slice size, perfect for folding (to eat while you walk). The grease that falls off the slice from the fold is heavenly.

I suppose the days of growing up in the city where I could get two slices and a drink for 5$ are gone. I won’t hit these guys for making a living for the world we live in now, that’s just nostalgia.

Gentlemen, thank you. I will see you soon!

Been going to OP since I was a kid, biking to Metcalf South. Ordered calzone and Greek salad with gyro meat. The cook pulls out the meat and has a whole conversation with the clerk who took my order. After I return to the store (without gyro meat) guy says it wasn’t included because I wasn’t charged for it. Whaaa? If I ordered it (clearly) then why wasn’t I charged for it? Is it me??? Guy offered to make it right, but I let it go. Then got home to a burnt calzone and skimpy salad. So long Original Pizza!

Walked in, great welcoming from the staff. That’s usually a good sign. Great selection of pizza, and big slices with no shortage of toppings. Crust was thin and crunchy, and one of the best sauces I’ve had in a long time. Want to feel full and still have $ in your wallet? Here’s your place to go!

I grew up in the northeast and I miss the pizza there. I get lunch here several times a year and the pizza is good. I find Midwest pizza to be a little cheese heavy. This place and the location in the mall food court (I assume they are the same owner) both have solid slices like what I grew up with. And I love the old school pinball machines. Never change-

I’ve been here on lunch only. If you’re into the reheated pizza thing then you’ll like it. I don’t live in the area so I haven’t had a fresh pizza made for me. I do like the salad. Their ranch is tasty. I’d definitely go back

I’m a sucker for a good NY Style pizza by the slice.
At first glance it looked the part, but WOW was disappointed.
They really need to take a trip to NYC to see what NY Style pizza by the slice is like. The slices were doughy, not crispy at all. The edge of the crust was not crispy either. The sauce was extremely bland and the cheese tasted like it was out of a bag. The pepperoni tastes like it’s out of a bag as well. This might be considered good in Overland Park, KS but I couldn’t even finish the slices. I tried but I just couldn’t do it. What a waste of money. I would rather make the 30 minutes drive to Lawerence, KS to the Big Mill, it’s not NY style but their Detroit style taste and execution blows this place away.
If you are craving good pizza with flavor and great ingredients go somewhere else. I should have taken my own advice. STAY AWAY FROM PLACES THAT TRY TO SERVE TOO MAMY ITEMS. I DON’T WANT MY PIZZA PLACE TO DO CHEESE STEAKS etc. The menu is too big, I bet they don’t make one thing good, just a bunch of low quality offerings. Save your money and stay away.
