Today, because we were tired and didnt feel like cooking breakfast, so we decided to give them another chance. Wrong choice! Their waffle machine was broken so we went with pancakes. The pancakes definitely taste like the box. No sprucing up or anything. Very doughy and sweet. The eggs tasted like they were from the carton. My son found hair in his eggs. The fish (so called rock fish) and chicken strips tasted like it was frozen and they just fried it.
Now I understand that this is a small mom and pop establishment, but as a person that loves food and travels to different restaurants, this was horrible compared to others. Over $50 went in the trash.
They were very busy but after writing our names in a book at the door we were quickly seated. We were greeted by our friendly server Autumn, who made some great suggestions. We had the corned beef hash and the David. Two great selections. They delivered pipping hot delicious coffee and our meals arrived quickly. Made exactly how we ordered, they were delicious.
Autumn was amazing.
Eat here and you’ll never be disappointed.
I got a cup of the crab soup and their cup is what most restaurants would call a bowl. It was huge. I ate half and brought the rest home for lunch the next day. I also got a cheeseburger with a side of fries. The cheeseburger was ok, nothing to write home about. It was served hot. Sandwiches come with chips, so fries are a $3.25 upcharge if you get them with a sandwich. My husband really wanted to try the wings. He got a full order of 12 at a very reasonable prices and the wings were cooked perfectly and huge! That’s a big plus these days most places give you tiny wings. He also got the fried oysters and can’t stop talking about how great they were. 18 oysters (yes he counted) with hush puppies, cole slaw and fries for $10.95! This place is a gem. They serve breakfast and lunch and I already can’t wait to go back to try their breakfast offerings.
Got photos of menu. Pics 1 through 4.
THIS Place was crowded. However, we got to be seated fairly quickly. SERVICE was GOOD, and the food was cooked to order.
PLACE was clean and would go back there again.
Parking was a problem as it’s a small lot.
LENNY’S plastic menus need to be redone.
