Lenny’s Grilled Subs in Asheville is hands down one of my favorite places to eat. It’s the kind of spot that works for everything: grabbing a meal with your family, stopping by after a sports game, getting together with friends, or even just popping in when you’re visiting town. The atmosphere is always welcoming and upbeat, which makes the experience even better.
The employees are incredibly kind and friendly, and you can tell they genuinely care about the customers. The owner is just as amazing. He’s clearly invested in making sure everyone has a great experience, and he’s also hilarious, which makes every visit memorable.
And the food…It’s so good. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious, but my absolute favorite is the Philly cheesesteak. It’s packed with flavor and always hits the spot. You can really tell the food is made with care.
If you’re in Asheville and looking for a place with great food, great people, and an awesome vibe, Lenny’s Grilled Subs is a must. I’ll keep coming back every chance I get.

Subs were simple but good! Nice to try somewhere local and has better food rather than a big sandwich chain. A little pricy ($30 for 2 people) but it’s comparable. The employee and I think the owner? Were super nice and friendly. Would def be back next time I’m in Asheville !

Very pleasant, friendly staff! Wonderful experience during my visit. There were a few items I failed to mention that I wanted on my sandwich when I placed my order, they were still able to add the extra toppings as d while making it. …and the 5” sandwich of the week deal is great!
I love this place, we will be back for sure!

My first time here, I’m always looking for a good Philly cheese steak. So I ordered that and an italian. The guy taking our order wasn’t friendly. The food came out fast he cleared the room of 4 or 5 people relatively fast. But the food was mediocre at best. Dry sandwiches. 40 bucks for two large subs with chips and a medium drink. It’s definitely not worth the price. Go to Firehouse, Subway or Jersey Mikes. The guy then took a call on his personal phone and sat out at one of the tables, and continued to talk. We left, and he couldn’t have cared less.

First time in, and it was delicious!
I had my go to, Turkey. Meat was piled high. The bread though!! It was the softest, freshest bread I’ve enjoyed with my sub.
We made the Italian a salad, and it was piled high with goodies. They use nice leaf lettuce instead of the regular shred.
Would definitely recommend stopping in for a bite!!

Good sandwiches, fast service. Went “all the way” on toppings on an Italian and it was a great sub. Never underestimate the importance of the quality of bread in a sandwich. Their bread is like a soft hogie with a nice crust. Basically what subway wishes they had. Solid stuff, will come back!

What can be said that would quantify the Nirvana!? This buffalo chicken cheese steak was absolutely phenomenal. The Cheddar bread that it was served on had that cheesey deliciousness on the outside and just the most supple perfect bread within. Of my three kids, this sandwich is by far my favorite. The staff is inviting, polite and encouraging. From the cashier to the cooks/ assemblers. The only feature I can mark down about this wonderful place is that there isn’t enough parking… For the amount of my people that deserve to be here!

Unfortunately our sandwich meat was extremely salty. Clean location and friendly staff but the Togo sandwich was way too disappointing.

The bacon philly was an easy 12 out of 10. Bread was amazing, sandwich melted in my mouth. Service was great. Will definitely go again.
