Got home with the food and found out they gave us the pastrami dip WITHOUT THE DIP. LOL!! But also egg on my face for not checking before leaving I guess. Burger was okay albeit paltry size wise, onion rings were greasy and flavorless (ended up eating only a few of these and I love onion rings). Pastrami was tasty but once again also greasy. And instead of chili tots they gave us chili cheese fries!!
$50 for a meal that was late, wrong, and lackluster in flavor is insanely disappointing. This was our second go after we weren’t too sure our first go around. We are never coming back to Lenny’s.
P.S. We saw 3 individuals come in with their 2 small dogs and allow the dogs to sit on the table on which people eat. Staff were notified but nothing was done about it. Given it’s counter service and everything else, I would be curious to know how consistent staff is about wiping down tables in between each individual customer. This was a crazy bad take out experience for me.
What’s super annoying is that I’m sitting here in my truck in the drive through for 15-20 mins while they bake more biscuits for breakfast sandwich. They said they only had 1 biscuit left. It’s 9am and they opened at 8am. How you gonna not have biscuits ready for a BREAKFAST sandwich an hour after you opened for breakfast?
Note to management: there was no apology for the wait or inconvenience at all so that should be addressed. What also needs to be addressed is the procedure for having an adequate amount of food ready for the morning shift.
Also they got my order wrong. I asked for 1 bacon and 1 sausage.. they gave me 2 sausage. You have your backup third string working Sundays??
The place was going for the old school diner vibe but it didn’t really feel comfortable to stay and eat at. Later the food didn’t sit well with me, though it tasted great. Did not have a salt issue like others.
Sorry Lenny…
For the price I paid, I should’ve gone else where and and paid a little more for a little better quality and service.
The atmosphere was great. I saw a steady flow of people coming and going. The dining area was clean. I also was slightly turned off by how one staff member presented herself in her old company t-shirt. To me it looked dirty and old.
Overall I was satisfied.
Although I did have to keep on correcting the lady at the register, I asked for tater tots instead of fries but she kept putting sweet potato fries and I had to keep correcting her. Besides that great food and they also accept EBT.
For more details, let’s dive in. To start, I really enjoyed the retro diner vibe. Love how they’ve kept that. My only critique is, I wish they kept the tables a little cleaner. I know this is largely due to guests not cleaning up after themselves but, it would be good to have someone go around and wipe down the tables. I had a hard time finding a clean table and ended up cleaning one off myself.
There are some of you out there who will appreciate this as much as I do. They offer Dr Pepper as a beverage despite being a Pepsi product place! I’ve always preferred Coke more myself but was happy they had Dr Pepper.
On the food side of things, I tried the Double Burger and onion rings. Loved the burger! Had the right ratios for me. The onion rings were great too. Not overly oily and not too fried. They hit the spot for me.
If you choose to visit, I think you’ll really enjoy this little spot!
