Excellent food and the portions are huge! I have not eaten here in about 15+ years, and only remember ordering the pizza. When we came in recently, we were impressed with the selection of pasta dishes. We had enough leftovers for lunch the next day, and then some. Our food was very tasty and served piping hot. Our waitress was very friendly and on the ball. We didn’t have to wait long for our food. Everybody at our table enjoyed what they ordered. Can’t wait to come back

Have driven past this place probably a hundred times and find decided to stop in. Overall it was a positive experience The server was friendly food was fresh. The next drink was lacking. The mozzarella bread with a two dipping sauces was very flavorful. The tomato sauce on the lasagna was very robust. The pasta carbonara with mushrooms and sausage added was great. The patio was a nice setting.

Wasn’t sure what to expect when my dad wanted to take me to this Italian restaurant in a very rural part of southern Michigan. I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised.

First off … the portions! If you are not a big eater or don’t want leftovers for lunch, you may want to plan to split the meal.

I had the soup of the day which was nothing special but generously portioned and tasty enough. The pasta noodles in the soup were an overly soft but that’s somewhat to be expected when you order it later in the evening.

But, the pasta was incredibly aromatic and very delicious. I ordered the pasta bruschetta which is spaghetti with olive oil, roasted garlic and tomatoes, and fresh basil. It was so tasty. I ate much more than I anticipated being able to eat. And, have plenty left for lunch the next day.

It’s worth the stop and the prices are fantastic given the quality and quantity of food.

My daughter is vegetarian and there were a good number of options for her to choose among.

Great service. Enjoyed sitting on the patio, though I would have rather not have had the TV on.

Food was very good, and the menu was eclectic. Portions were LARGE. Bread sticks were freshly baked per order!

Prices were very reasonable. As far as value and quality are concerned. I would drive up from Toledo anytime…about 25 minutes. As I was the designated driver, they gave me my beverage, Club Soda and lime FREE! Nice touch that was.

I went here with 3 other people and I was the only one not gluten free in the group. On the positive side, we got the gluten free bruschetta and it was delicious. The other 3 also ordered pizza. If you’re looking for good gluten free pizza, this is probably the best I’ve tried. On the not so positive side.. I ordered the chicken parmesan with spaghetti (not gluten-free). The menu said it came with meat sauce. When it came out, it was just a tomato based sauce, not a meat sauce. I asked our waitress and she confirmed it was supposed to come with meat sauce. She brought it back to the chef and immediately returned with the same plate and said the chef said it was the meat sauce.. it definitely was not. Absolutely not one piece of meat in the sauce. I even checked reviews and the pictures clearly show meat in the meat sauce. So it was definitely not the meat sauce. The waitress was very nice, not her fault at all. But im unsure why the chef would lie and not just swap out the incorrect sauce for the meat sauce?. I dont like plain spaghetti sauce. If I order it at a restaurant, I always pay an upcharge to substitute for meat sauce. I was excited to see their chicken parm was supposed to come already with the meat sauce, but disappointed that it didn’t and more so disappointed that the chef wouldn’t correct it. It would have been fine if he swapped it, I had an appetizer, so I wasnt starving. I ended up not eating my meal and will try to doctor up the sauce tomorrow for leftovers i guess. But probably wont be going back. Definitely do not recommend the chicken parmesan. Gave the food 3 stars only for the gluten free bruschetta and pizza. If you visit here, id say stick with the pizza. If i remember, I’ll snap a photo tomorrow and add to the review.

I don’t know what’s going on at Lena’s but man there stuff seems to be going down hill. Picked up a pep deep dish had ten gallons of sauce on it hardly no cheese dough dry not light and crunchy like it used to be. Maybe teach these kids better to make a good pizza. When I walked in to pick it up kid had his hand in the topping munchin away.

After hearing numerous good things about this place, I had to try it.
DISAPPOINTED!! First I will say the service was good. The dinning area was alot smaller than I thought it would be. They did have patio seating available. I ordered the Lasagna dinner that came with a simple salad and a small loaf of bread for the entire table. The Lasagna was Luke warm at best. It consisted mainly of a thin film of ricotta cheese between layers and layers of nothing but noodles, topped off with an almost meatless type sauce and a little cheese. Bland and not very impressive. Another member of our group ordered the Shrimp Alfredo. Same problem, served not quite warm. No distinct flavor. Someone else ordered the Cheese Tortolinee that seemed to be ok and a pizza that was described as dry with very little taste. Obviously won’t be returning for another visit. Apparently the kitchen staff had other important things to do, than to ensure that quality meals were being served. Maybe a hint, to step up better management in the kitchen area.

Great authentic Italian food, great family run restaurant with great service! We had the fried ravioli, tortellini in meat sauce, and Pasta Borgetto. All the sauces were well made, not overly spiced or herbed. The fresh tomatoes really shine in their authentic sauces. You can tell someone cares enough to do the food with love at this place. Try it out, you’ll thank me later!
