Out of all the places of Lena y Carbon that I’ve been too, this by far is the best one! The food here is amazing and I always get my moneys worth every time I dine in. The service as well is excellent and the atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming! Soraya is the best waitress there, bilingual , attentive & friendly! I recommend her to anyone who stops by here to eat

⚠️ WARNING: Lena & Carbon (more like Lena & Cabron) — Stay Away! ⚠️
We just had one of the worst restaurant experiences ever at Lena & Carbon in New Jersey, and I feel obligated to warn everyone.
First of all, the service was absolutely unacceptable – slow, disorganized. But the real problem? They tried to take advantage of us by double-charging items, inflating prices right on the bill.
To give you an example:
• Our Pisco clearly listed at $12 online and even confirmed over the phone with another location of the same chain magically turned into $27 on our bill.
• We double-checked — same restaurant name, same dish, but they thought they could sneak that by us.
When we confronted them, they danced around the issue, offering no valid explanation, no apology, and no correction.
This place doesn’t just serve overpriced food — it serves up deception.
Honestly, the only thing authentic about Lena & Carbon is how fast they hustle to pad the bill. They should rename the place to “Lena & Cabron” — because you’ll feel scammed by the time you walk out.
Never again. Save your money, your time, and your dignity — plenty of honest Peruvian spots nearby that actually respect their customers.

Food was good can’t complain, service was ok, atmosphere was ok, I guess we were expected to b under an AC due to the hot and humid weather outside, makes u wonder if we were planing to eat a lot or not, so we went for this plate of mix seafood, it was good … the downside is when we paid the bill, whata surprise it was, charged 18% gratuity ??? WT Freak ?!!, well it was one time to many, thank u !! hasta la vista baby….

We often order their ceviche mixto and seco con frejoles to go! Delicious! Love the big portions and the taste! 100% recommend! Also, can’t beat having parking in the middle of Downtown Paterson.

we arrived late and the restaurant we always went to was closing 9pm, my wife and I decided to go in this place we were first time on this place. The service was good clean and nice place I ordered a salmon and something else the waitress came back and told us that there was no salmon we asked her about another fish and she recommended us corvina we accepted her suggestion but she never told us how much would the cost, but the cost is the same as a filet mignon $41 (before suggesting they should also say the price because the salmon costs $20)

Stay away from here. Literally just left from here, I ordered a alo pobre dish with chuelta, she asked me if I wanted the chuleta with bone or not bone. I picked without bone it said 18$ on the menu, food was great not going to lie, but when I got the receipt my order from 18$ was to 40$. I asked why was my order 40$ the lady said she heard me say I wanted a chursasco. No way near my dish looked like a chursaco. I look up the price online how much is the alo pobre churasco dish and it is 27$ so why was I charged 40.

Ordered a whole chicken with frys, salad and free soda. Also ordered anticucho.
The chicken was burned and dry as if it was made yesterday and reheated today. They forgat to include the salad and to top it off they gave me chicken anticucho instead of meat.
Total disappointment, go to Panchitos for better chicken.
