This place so exceeded my expectations. I was on the road and was happy to find a place with gluten free options (according to the woman I spoke with almost everything is or can be made gluten free).
I had the tilapia with roasted veg, rice and chickpeas, some pear cobbler for dessert and took some of the most delicious cookies I’ve ever had to go. Everything was sooo good.
The people were wonderful and the space was adorable. I wish this was closer to home.

I attended one of their 4 course dinners. The food was absolutely delicious. The iced tra was one of the best I’ve drank. The staff were the best and answered all my questions. The store is cute and charming. Definite hidden gem on the Harbor.

The most delightful cafe and bookstore. The food is fresh, the baked goods are homemade and the atmosphere is quaint and inviting. Breakfast and coffee, lunch or dinner you won’t be disappointed. Heather & Jen are the perfect restauranteurs. Their unique menu and extraordinary desserts are of the utmost quality.
Most items on their menu can be made gluten free, just ask them.

What a treat for our little town. 3 course gourmet dinner? It was phenomenal. Very much enjoyed the quiet quaint intimate setting after a busy day at work for sure. Warm welcoming staff tops off the evening for an all around great visit. My wife says the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding with Rum Cream Sauce is quite possibly the best thing she’s ever eaten!

Not sure how to rate this place just yet. The business model is a little bizarre! They open at 10 on a Saturday morning but don’t serve breakfast until 11. I don’t recall seeing any clear information on their website that stated that. The website is not very user friendly either. We decided to get there right as it opened so that we could beat the crowds because we heard it was an amazing place to eat. We very disappointed to find out that they were only serving pastries and either drip or French press coffee. We did stay and try some but it was definitely not what we were looking for. The ladies in the restaurant were nice but it was a bit disheveled because they were preparing for some event that was happening later that morning. We don’t know the food was because we didn’t get to try it. We will try again some other time when we are back in town. The atmosphere is very quaint and we definitely enjoyed the aesthetics of the place. Hopefully they live up to their reputation.

My new favorite place to eat! The food is delicious with a menu that changes depending upon availability, farm to table. The ambiance is so comfortable and inviting. My two favorites paired, great food and books. The plates even look like opened books! I’m in love with this cafe and am so happy they have opened here in Montesano. Can’t recommend enough. Love it!
