We had a great meal here. The portions are abundant. I loved the shrimp papaya salad and tulip dumplings. I had a great stir fry with eggplant with tons of fresh vegetables. My daughter had the pad se ew and my husband the fried tofu with spinach and peanut sauce. All very tasty. I would recommend it. Food came out prompt and fresh.

Initially could not get in because the door was locked, and one of the male workers initially just blankly looked at my group without opening the door. This led my party of 3 to try and walk around the building in search of another entrance incase we accidentally entered through the wrong area. Turns out the front entrance is the only one, and once he finally opened the door to let us in (maybe 5 mins after we arrived, stood outside, left to walk around and came back), we informed him the door was locked, to which he was incredibly apathetic and didn’t do anything about (other customers also had to wait for them to open the doors instead of the hostess just unlocking the door…)

Mind you, we arrived at ~7:15pm and the doors stated the operation closed around 9:30pm, so we did not arrive late and there had already been people inside – hence why my party initially thought it was our honest mistake that we entered by the wrong door as opposed to a deliberate and/or negligent choice by that staff member.

I ordered drunken noodles and my two other comrades had the calamari and pad Thai (see bill pictured). Although the flavor of my dish was fine, both the pad Thai and drunk noodles dishes were overcooked leaving the noodles too soft and slightly mushy. If you prefer them firmer, I guess you might have to request that, otherwise, they might end up too soft. My table’s server was separate from the individual who begrudgingly opened the door and he was kind, hence why I’ll give 2stars instead of 1 for service. If not for him, we certainly would’ve spent our money elsewhere.

Food took a little bit to arrive but it was hot when received, so I don’t necessarily have a complaint on the timeliness.

There is a 20% gratuity automatically added, so please be mindful of that. The menu does warn you of this!

You can park across the street in front of the restaurant and pay or stay for free depending on the hour in which you arrive.

Bathroom was clean!

I recently ordered from Lemon Thai while my son spent the night at CHOP, and I have mixed feelings about the experience.

First off, the food was very fresh, which is always a plus. The highlight for me was the Chicken Puff (Curry Puff) — it was delicious and came with duck sauce.

However, the Penang Curry was a letdown. It tasted watered down and really lacked the bold flavors I was hoping for. The chicken portion was decent, but it could definitely use more seasoning. The fried rice, on the other hand, was pretty good and saved the meal a bit.

Overall, I’d suggest the restaurant not cut corners on flavor. Freshness is great, but a punch of flavor is essential for a memorable meal. If you’re in the area, it might be worth a try, but don’t expect fireworks.

Incredible experience from start to finish. The food came out fast, piping hot, and every dish was packed with flavor. I have been to Thailand, and this is some of the most authentic Thai food I have had since. Nothing watered down, just bold, perfectly balanced flavors done right. You can tell real care goes into the cooking.

The service was just as impressive. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Everything felt smooth and effortless. This place is an absolute gem and I will definitely be coming back.

Lemon Grass Thai is a small and charming Thai restaurant. It was slightly busy when I got in at 6:30. I ordered Drunken Noodles with Chicken, and after a speedy 10 minutes a plate of noodles appeared in front of me.
The drunken noodles were very standard, yet very delicious. My only suggestion is to make the noodles just a bit drier.
Overall, I would recommend going here.

8/10. Would visit again.

Bought Thai Basil (w/ chicken and brown rice) and chicken puff pastry.

Everything was good. The rice pairs very well sauce. The sauce is spicy, but not overwhelming as other reviews suggested.

The chicken puff pastry was delicious.

My friend found a piece of plastic in her drinking water. That alone is unacceptable. On top of that, the restaurant still automatically charged 20% gratuity. Food safety issue + forced tip = very bad experience. Will not come back.

Verify your check Bill. I was charged 20% tip without my permission and they did not informed me about this. I was going to give another 20 % Assuming that they haven’t charge me the tip yet!!! They also charge me two dollars for the small rice bowl, which was supposed to be included as a part of Entree.
I believe it’s run by the owners and they do not have HONEST BUSINESS PRACTICE.
If they have honest business practice, I am sure they will do a lot better.

Pretty good! I dropped by here for a quick dinner solo and was very comfortable! At first, I was a little confused because the place was entirely empty on a weekday evening, but by the time I left, it was nearly packed. The hostess/waitress was so sweet and very attentive! I think she was working the floor by herself and did a great job! The food was also pretty good. The drunken noodles were spicy with thick noodles, just the way I like it! The chicken satay was also okay, though barely warm – I probably should’ve asked them to heat it, but I assumed that how it was supposed to served? Further, I appreciated the fact that the food came out quickly since I had a train to catch! Overall, I would definitely consider coming back if I want a quick bit to eat/sit down dinner!

Cute spot in university city to get Thai food; classic comfort food on a cold/rainy winter night.
I am yet to try the soups and I definitely want to go back to try those. The chive dumplings were yum – I loved how soft and light they were on the inside. The drunken noodles was excellent although I could have gone for a bit more spice. Was a bit disappointed with the corn fritters, probably because I wasn’t sure what to expect.
