My husband I had lunch here while visiting. The wait-staff was incredibly friendly, and to our surprise, offered us a free bowl of soup, which was probably the best tomato soup I’ve ever had. It was incredibly fragrant and spicy. I had a shrimp curry, which came with delicious naan. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for quality Indian cuisine.

I finally had the chance to try this restaurant after hearing about it. Unbeknownst to me, they offered lunch menu/prices on weekends which was a plus. Service was great and attentive. Food was delicious, tasted fresh, and made to order. I was offered a complementary dessert which was greatly appreciated. I love experiences where my patronage feels genuinely appreciated which this establishment exceeded at.

We made reservations for Valentine’s Day and arrived at 6:57 PM for our 6:00–7:00 PM reservation window. When we got there, there were approximately 10 parties still waiting to be seated who also had reservations during that same time frame. After seeing the delay and long wait times, we decided not to dine in and instead chose to order takeout.
Unfortunately, they were not answering the phone, so we had to place our order online. The restaurant appeared to be very short staffed, and I ended up waiting an hour and 15 minutes just to pick up our food. On a special day like Valentine’s Day, the restaurant should have been better prepared for the volume of reservations and guests.
In addition to the service issues, the ambiance and decor could use improvement. It looked like renovations were happening in a closed-off section of the restaurant, but the overall interior and exterior appearance still felt outdated and in need of upgrades.
The food itself was good, which makes it even more disappointing that the service and long wait times overshadowed the experience. Overall, the lack of preparation and customer service made for a frustrating evening. I would not book here again for Valentine’s Day next year.

Best kept secret downtown! The chicken tikka masala and lamb rogan josh were phenomenal, the naan was some of my favorite, and the service was impeccable. Will be back!

This restaurant has to be on everyone’s radar! It’s clean, well designed inside. We received a warm greeting when walking in. Placed a carry out order. Food was prepared fast and served hot. Their Chicken Biryani was the best I’ve ever had! And that’s saying something.. I can’t wait for many more return trips. Plus portion sizes are great!

From the moment you step into Lemon, you’re greeted with the warm, inviting aroma of spices and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The service here is impeccable; the staff are not only attentive but also eager to share their knowledge of the menu, ensuring you have a delightful dining experience.
We ordered a number of things… I had the dal which was incredible and my friend had the butter chicken. Everything including the garlic and cheese naan we ordered was delicious. Would definitely recommend and come again because the portion sizes are perfect to share.

It deeply saddens me to write this review, as I have been a frequent patron of Lemon’s takeout and delivery services over the years. The restaurant’s close proximity to my home and delicious flavors made it my go-to for Indian cuisine. However, I routinely find meat in their vegetarian dishes. As someone who hasn’t intentionally eaten meat since elementary school, it’s unsettling to be enjoying dinner one moment, only to find a foreign object in my mouth the next. They seem to use paneer and chicken interchangeably, as I found several pieces of both in my Matar Paneer in my most recent order. In the order before that, I found a piece of fish in one of the dumplings in my Malai Kofta. As I mentioned, I’ve been ordering from Lemon for years, and every so often, I would find a piece of meat in my meal. I overlooked those accidents because I enjoyed the food when it was prepared as described, and I like supporting my neighborhood’s establishments. However, finding meat in my meal two orders in a row, only about two weeks apart, indicates negligence that I’m not interested in entertaining. If you don’t have any sort of dietary restrictions — self-imposed or otherwise — I think Lemon is a fine place to dine. But if you are a vegetarian, vegan, or have food allergies, I would suggest you order from another Indian restaurant.

I had a very bad experience with the food at Lemon cuisine recently. There was no flavor whatsoever in the curry, naan was salty throughout and overall, food was extremely bland. It was also not fresh. I’m not sure what happened with the quality at this restaurant (did the chef change or are they just reheating up food?) but I feel like I wasted my money and time. This was by far the worst paneer I have tasted across the Indian restaurants in Richmond. I would recommend going elsewhere. Lemon cuisine’s quality has dropped significantly and I do not plan to visit again.

Went for lunch and both got specials which came with soup or salad, a side, and a dessert. Food was great. Timothy was our server, he was very friendly and attentive. We will be back!

Came here by accident and was pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff great attentive service and wonderful food. My only question is why is there corn in everything? Doesn’t add flavor or any other substance. Mango Lamb is great! Vegetable Korma great! Chicken Tikka Masala great!. Reasonably priced! Cozy atmosphere. Now my favorite Indian restaurant in Richmond. *** Side note parking is tight* small spaces.
