Big Beautiful Traveling
Stopped in to have some ofbtheir gizzards. They was a bit over cooked and dripping of oil. Not very many for the cost $7. Just not impressed with them. The cheese curds was great!! A ton of those for the price. I ordered a pizza to go…it was super delicate!
Never got silverware brought to me…got like 1 refill on my drink. Waitress was nice…but just top top top notch.

The five stars are for the fried cheese curds!! I drive a few miles off the freeway just to get some now. BRING CASH! They have an ATM available (for a fee). If you can handle a lot of fried food, I hear they do it well. I stick with a reuben sandwich (also very good) when I need to sit down and work on the road (and they do have WiFi–unadvertised, I asked). Other than that, it is also a bar, so it’s not my favorite environment and the place could use a good cleaning beyond the tabletops and bathrooms. BUT the people are great! It is the only food option in the tiny town aside from what might be found in their itty bitty gas station.

Lemke’s is great when it comes to food and service. I would definitely recommend you stop by and grab a Burger or pizza. They are amazing people who all enjoy conversation and you also meet new people willing to talk or hang out. It’s a lively atmosphere.

never received the food- went at 11:40 a.m. , they had 4 tables waiting for food, we sat down and a lot more people came in and filled the place up. we ordered, waitress said it’ll be a ” hot minute ” we understood and said that’s fine. a work crew of 8 came in and sat at the bar, an hour went by the waitress checked on us twice for drinks, other tables began getting their appetizers, the crew at the bar received their food……2 hours and 15 minutes went by now, nothing from the waitress or checked on again. we walked up and asked her if our food will be soon….. she said ” I’ll go check” …… we said nah cancel it and walked out. Rude on our part maybe, but the service had potential, but the planning and out of order timliness was not acceptable.

Just ate here with my family and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Small little setup that is family-friendly and offers a wide variety of simple, delicious food items. Looked like one bartender doing all the work, but he was very quick and very friendly with us. Came here on a whim and will definitely be making a stop again the next time we are in Brookings!

Every single time we go there, it’s amazing! Great people, amazing service and great food. The locals make you feel like you’re one of their own ! We usually get one of their burgers, baskets or other sandwiches. They’re always good!
