We’ve been coming here since their grand opening, we consider Gezu & family friends. They are kind & gracious hosts, the food is always hot & fresh, portions are generous. We’ve had 3 of my daughter’s birthdays here. We love the decor & ambiance, miss dining in. We’ve been getting occasional to-go during SIP. Highly recommend the veggie combo, it’s vegan.

$10 for a handful of spring mix from Costco named Lemant “special” salad and zero veggies not even cucumbers.. this is total rip off!! And the waitress did not even bother to explain or offer an alternative.

My first time here I had to get my food to go. My second time just stopped by for some wine! By my third time I was like … I need to just budget for once a month ! The people are amazing! The waitress, the owners and close friends; yes I had a chance to mingle with them all! We had meaningful conversations and just a cozy place! Fresh ingredients , love and culture!

Excellent Ethiopian food. Like the best I’ve had. I’ve tried many Ethiopian places in the bay area and not sure how I missed this one, but glad I found it. They have amazing life music on Fridays! I tried honey wine for the first time and really good. This is my new regular stop for Ethiopian.

It was my first time dining here. The food was all very flavorful and delicious. Great food presentation too, so much color! There is a lot to choose from. The decor is lovely. Very traditional Ethiopian. What a nice experience it was. Thank you Aley, for introducing me to this treasure. The service was great. Very family oriented. But quiet enough for a date as well. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating.

Very very good food, incredibly charming ambiance. Beautiful interior. Was surprised to find that they have a liquor license. They also serve a traditional Ethiopian wine called Tej, which you will not find many places.

Lemat’s food is always amazing (it is definitely my favorite Ethiopian food in the East Bay, without question! It is no contest with their spiced thick stews and creamy lentil dishes. Their injera is soft and springy and sour and they are generous with it! We tend to eat vegetarian when we go there but their chicken and beef dishes are full of comforting warm flavors.) But this last time we went was especially notable because they hosted our whole wedding party (about thirty people) with excellent service and tremendous expertise!
