I’m basing my review on a specific menu item and should say the quality has been slowly but steadily decreasing. If back in the days OBS Kitchen pancakes were coming with a generous amount of pistachios and were not to say big but regular size pancakes. Few times I’ve even split them into two portions. For the past year they were slowly getting smaller to the point they’re now just a tad bigger than a muffin and have 3 times less toppings while still $16+. Without exaggeration the last two times I ordered them I’ve left the restaurant hungry. I didn’t take pictures of it recently(cause it’s disappointing and I normally don’t photograph my food) but I’ll post some pictures from over the years to show what it was before.
But even though I wanted to bring it to your attention for a while now, the reason I’m writing this review was a server that brought my coffee carrying it by the rim like a picture shows. After my meal I went to get a refund for the cappuccino I didn’t want to drink. Since I wasn’t asked anything I’ve said to him
– and for the future, don’t carry someone else’s cup like that *placing cup next to him*
– what do you mean?
– *showing again* you don’t hold someone else’s drink this way. It’s the first lesson every server learns
– I got you, thanks
While the head server(or manager) was getting the refund back to my card that boy turned around, took ice coffee and hot coffee mug now fully hugging literally the entire rim of both drinks with his sweaty palms and carried them to yet an another unlucky table
I ordered the salted caramel latte (they make their own syrup in-house with no refined sugars), and it was amazing — I usually skip flavored lattes, but I’m so glad I tried this one. For food, I had the chicken biscuit — the biscuit is made from scratch and was soooo delicious.
My dad got the protein omelet, and my sister had the pesto omelet with sourdough — both were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made.
Overall, such a surprising gem in Myrtle Beach — healthy, wholesome, and actually delicious eats. Highly recommend for a feel-good brunch spot!
The food my plate was the kloof street plate that was delicious, im a foodie and brunch is what I go out to eat the most & this plate is different from a bunch of other brunch spots that I’ve been too, in a very good way this was so tasty. Also tried the banana muffin which was really yummy.
Tried the honey vanilla oat latte which didn’t need any extra sugar after, which is always really hard for me since I like my coffee sweet but this was made just right, shout out to the barista as well.
I need one of these is Orlando for sure.
My favorite dish is the shrimp and grits—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. But honestly, everything on the menu is fantastic. I’ve never been disappointed, and every visit leaves me excited to come back.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food, great vibes, and great service!
