UPDATE:
We came for breakfast and….well, as you can see from the photo, it did not disappoint. So much food. Gravy was made in-house, side pancake as big as the plate. Two eggs, bacon and homefries were wonderful and the ham egg and cheese sandwich had the biggest cut of meat I have seen on a sandwich not made at home.
Just as the last time we were here the service was super friendly and fast. If I could give it more than 5 stars I totally would.
I came for lunch, and was seated right away at 11:55am. Our server was prompt in taking and bringing our drink orders. I ordered a vegetable soup and chicken salad sandwich on white toast. My husband ordered one of the daily specials of country style steak, green beans, macaroni & cheese, and it came with a choice of a roll or cornbread. He chose the corn bread.
The food came out very quick as the restaurant began to fill with customers. My soup was hearty, full of veggies, and yummy. The chicken salad sandwich had a different flavor to it from what I consider to be a traditional chicken salad, but it, too, was very tasty. I tried some of the macaroni & cheese and loved it. It was creamy, cheesy, and tasted like a true homemade Mac & Cheese.
Hubs enjoyed his meal as well as we both were members of the clean plate club.
The service was impeccable. Every employee was kind and smiling, and the restaurant appeared clean and well kept.
I would definitely return to try their breakfast and to enjoy more of their macaroni & cheese.

My go to place for breakfast in Lancaster. Always friendly service and they like to keep my coffee full! I have tried a lot of different breakfast meals, including the two egg breakfast and the pancakes, but by far my favorite thing to eat is the biscuit and gravy. Not sure what it is, but the gravys is the best around, definitely better than Hardee’s and Bojangles.

The food has always been good, my kids LOVE going for breakfast and the prices were always reasonable.
The last time we went though, it seems like all the wait staff are gone. You now order through the window and go sit down until your food comes, which I guess would be fine until the person in front of you has NO sense of urgency and NO idea what they want OR wants to customize EVERYTHING they order so you end up standing in the doorway for 6 minutes. I was breathing fire by the time we sat down while these fools just looked around smiling at everyone, oblivious to their impact on the world around them, like most people nowadays…
The owner seems like a great guy and is probably just trying to get around labor costs, but I would keep at least one server in there. Part of the charm here was the old home town cafe feeling I got every time I came, and that’s gone now. I miss it, the kids miss it.

Come here for the great southern cooking. May not have many “healthy” options like fresh fruit for breakfast but you will get extra buttah in yo grits!

Stumbled upon this place after a trip to Home Depot and now we’re so full we don’t want to go home and work on our house project 🙂 ! Food was AMAZING – pot roast just melts in your mouth. Sides were fantastic – we tried 6 different ones and LOVED everything. Prices are so reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get. This is a new favorite spot we will definitely be back. Everyone was so friendly too – even though it was our first time in they chatted with us and treated us like “regulars”. What a gem!!!

Awesome Sunday lunch! The restaurant is clean, the service is very good and it tastes like home cooking. Prices are very low for the portions. The only problem is it is very small. Tables fill up very quickly around lunchtime. If you are patient with a potential wait, I highly recommend it. Or do like we do and go early!

I ordered the flounder plate and I had two sides. My rice was mushy, The fish was seasoned very nice and the collard greens were very good. It actually was my first time eating collard greens with carrots in it and it was great. The mc and cheese is good not the best however very tasty. I give the experience a 7/10

Stopped for breakfast at this place in Lancaster SC. We ordered breakfast. I ordered a cheese omelet it was very small and flat I am guessing it was made with one egg. The cheese that they put folded in the egg was disgusting I am talking Velveeta cheese. It was so gross I couldn’t eat it. My other family member ordered pancakes. The server told him that they were huge pancakes. She was right, they hung over the side of the dinner plate. Unfortunately, they were not edible they were so thick that the inside of the pancake was gooey and not fully cooked. So I can definitely scratch this place off my list. I will add that the server was very nice, friendly and very attentive to all her customers. She was the best part of the experience.

It’s a small business that’s packed with amazing tasteful food. You may have to wait a little bit for a table but it’s well worth the wait! The staff is so friendly & inviting. I loved talking to the cashier(Cynthia), it was like we’d known each other before hand. We definitely plan on going back soon.
