Our server, Jacob, was the sweetest — super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. When the game ended, the staff surprised everyone with sparklers and a big Go Hawks celebration. The whole restaurant was chanting — it felt like a mini stadium moment.
The food is delicious! You’ve got to try the collard greens! We also loved the chicken and waffles, mac & cheese, and shrimp & grits. And for dessert, don’t skip a beignet or some peach cobbler — such perfect southern treats!
Whether it’s game day or just any day you want good food and a fun atmosphere, Legion Sports Bar is the place to go. I’d 100% recommend it for watching sports, enjoying southern comfort food, or grabbing a smash burger. This spot really knows how to make every visit a good time!
Was never offered water for the table. Our first round of drinks were ok. We got a watermelon drink. Second round was made by our new server and tasted completely different from the first drinks. Neither was gross but drinks should be made the same every time.
Food was extremely underwhelming. We got the fried cauliflower that was soggy and cold. And the Cajun steak bites that had absolutely nothing to do with Cajun food. Those were also tough and cold. With how dead the place was zero reason our food should have been cold.
Servers were nice but didn’t extend much service.
We had planned to stay for dinner but after seeing how our apps turned out we decided not to and got dinner elsewhere.
If you wanna catch the game and have a drink is probably a better option over planning a dinner here.
Hands-down, the worst service in Seattle and the place really has potential. It had good music the food maybe when you go home and microwave it.???
I dont know where they find servers and bartenders but they’re the most nicest and funniest people exuding positive energy customers. Honestly Bellevue crowd can be dry and dull sometimes at other restaurants and bars in the area, Not here! Always good times.
If you’re just in mood to grab some appetizers and drinks I recommend their wings they got them wings perfected that goes great with beer or cocktails. If you have a group and can’t decide on individual drinks, get a Bammarita to share and you will be guaranteed a good time. They make it strong and delicious.
As a long time Downtown Bellevue resident and now a frequent visitor, I’ve seen many Bellevue restaurants and bars that just try to do too much and it ends up missing the mark with vibe and service with mediocre food, hefty price. Legion is doing a great job delivering good food, drinks while giving the easy, comfortable neighborhood bar in town. Park in Lincoln Square and just take the elevator or walk across from Bellevue Square!
It was an overall great experience, I just wish there were hooks under the bar to hang your bag/purse.
I ordered the deviled eggs with shrimp and the chopped chicken honey jerk sandwich. Let me tell you—that honey jerk sandwich was amazing! Perfect balance of sweet and spicy, juicy, and full of flavor. The fries that came with it were a bit of a miss (cold and a little hard), but honestly, the sandwich more than made up for it.
Definitely looking forward to coming back—and shoutout to the server holding it down solo with such great energy!
The food was so good and came out fresh and hot. The wings were definitely a favorite, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Cajun pasta had just the right kick to it and was something I would order again without hesitation. And the cheesecake was the perfect way to end the meal. Everything we tried hit the mark.
Overall, this was more than just grabbing food, it was a really enjoyable experience from start to finish. Between the atmosphere, the service, and the quality of the food, they really know what they’re doing here. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a spot that delivers all around.
Time to Food: ~8 Minutes
Happy Hour weekdays from 3-5PM or reverse late night happy hour Friday/Saturday 10pm-close
I arrived around 7PM on a Thursday and got to sit myself anywhere. Entrance is down across from the Westin, near the public parking. Lot of TVs inside and it is decently loud with the sound of whatever sports game is playing. I was approached reasonably quickly and informed that they were almost out of oxtail and a certain appetizer.
I got the gumbo (they only had two left when I was there) and the cornbread.
– Gumbo (4/5): Great portions, very flavorful spice. I thought the sausage was a little tough but overall I really enjoyed the seasoning and mix of proteins.
– Cornbread (3.5/5): Again, excellent big portion. It was a tad sweet for me, being a texture similar to a creme brulee where they caramelize the top. I thought it was slightly too grainy of a texture but I think some people would really enjoy this, and it’s very sharable.
Really polite service all around and solid portions for Southern bar food. I paid via inKind with a referral credit with no issues.
