Sprawling buffet of Chinese dishes plus sushi in a 300-seat dining room.

Had to give this place a try—and I’m glad I did. Great selection, great food, and the sushi was a standout.
At a lot of buffets, everything ends up tasting the same, but not here. Each dish actually has its own flavor, and everything we tried was genuinely good. The service was excellent, too. If you haven’t been yet, it’s definitely worth checking out.
Dinner came to about $23 per person, including drinks and tip.

This buffet runs roughly 25 a person, they have a sushie selection, salad bar, dessert bar, soup station, and all the other typical Chinese food selection. Their food is pretty good. The service is fast, and even when they are busy it’s hard to tell because of the massive seating selection. You never feel crammed.

Legend of Asia was really good. Buffets are either hit or miss with no in between. This was definitely a hit! They were packed, there was plenty of food and it was easy to get your food. I will definitely return. My picture just shows a portion of the food.

Stopped here while camping and was pleasantly surprised. The food is pretty good. The place is clean and the service is nice. All the usual suspects when it comes to Asian Buffet. They have a nice selection of rolls and sushi. They also have a grill to order with a lot of choices of what you want to add. Will definitely come back.

Would have been a 4 or 5 if it weren’t for my last experience. We arrived near to closing and I’m no dullard, I fully expected there to be a smaller selection of food which itself would probably be nearly gone. By the end of the meal I can say that the mountain dew I ordered was by far the highlight. All the meat was nearly inedible it was so dry, the breaded shrimp may as well have been shrimp flavored croutons, even the dessert cakes were on the brink of stale and super chewy. Great lunch and early dinner spot, disappointing late dinner dining.

We gave it a try during lunch. I’m not usually a fan of buffets. Everything looked clean and what I had was fresh. I wish they had refilled some of the vegetarian dishes quicker. Some of the dessert items were unfamiliar to me. It would have helped if all dishes were labeled. Server brought refills and cleared dishes. Paid more attention to the construction workers that had come in for lunch. As you can see from my pictures there are plenty of options to choose from.

The food was just typical Chinese buffet fare with a Mongolian grill and some sushi since it simply meets my expectations for a buffet. The inside was nothing special and the food wasn’t that special either. Overall, it’s not worth the drive if you’re outside the area and not planning to go to Blue Springs in the first place, but if you’re in the area, then give this buffet a try.

Decent buffet. We went to a $20 all you can eat and it was good. I enjoy the wide selection, but my favorite is the sushi section. If you eat a lot of sushi, then the buffet is totally worth it. Food isn’t too bad but definitely gotta eat a lot of sushi!

Food was only okay. Some dishes way better than others. For a buffet, labels are important – and they didn’t label everything clearly. Overpriced unless you’re stuffing yourself with many plates of food. With tax and tip, dinner buffet was $73 for just 3 people.

Went to Legend of Asia because of the sushi options…. But was pleasantly surprised by all the other things to try! I really liked the variety of options and that there were decent descriptions above each item on the buffet. The food seemed fresh for a buffet and seemed to be of decent quality. The food variety was pretty good, though it was obviously catered to the sweet/saucy palette of most Midwestern mouths… Having lived in East Asia for a few years I wish there were a few more authentic Chinese flavored dishes and vegetable options, but I was not disappointed by my American Chinese experience. I plan to return soon and enjoy again. I suggest you go by and try.
