As an airport restaurant, it seemed pretty good, in my opinion, the best one in this Terminal A, when comparing price and menu.
The Chowder is one of the better ones I have had in New England. The fish sandwich was as described and prepared well. The crab salad was equally good and the crab cake was full of crab meat and not fillers.
Service was pleasant but a little overwhelmed I felt. A few of the restaurant prices are high but it’s kind of what one would expect in today’s airports. The chowder I felt was reasonable compared to the usual prices around.

Worth the $, just pay it. $77 for mini lobster roll, cup of clam chowder with fries and cole slaw, 1 beer, 1 glass of wine. Absolutely delicious. Excellent service!

Great waiting spot for tuna, oysters, shrimp, crab cakes, new England crab chowder and lobster! House cocktails are delightful, and ask for Michael at the bar, he’s fantastic! A1-A6 gates best place to hang out at BOS.

Full warning, you will be packed in like a sardines can. I had a Sangria, it was great. 10/10. I got the clam chowder + petite Lobster roll. Then I got the fish and chips. The Clam Chowder was so good 10/10. Lobster roll was 4/10. Just Lobster in a toasted hotdog bun. The fish and chips is a 4/10. Fish was soooooo bland! The only thing I liked was the crunch, but as it sat, it got soggy. The tartar sauce taste like they used miracle whip. It’s was really sweet, which I’m not use to. PLEASE GET SOME SEASONING! I recommend The Spice Patch.

As far as airport food, it is serviceable. Just about every other lobster roll in Boston is better but the fries are fine and the clam chowder is decent.

During a recent layover at Logan International Airport, my family and I decided to dine at Legal Sea Foods, and overall, it turned out to be a satisfying experience.
The food was fresh, flavorful, and truly delicious—exactly what you’d hope for from a seafood restaurant with such a solid reputation. Every dish we ordered hit the spot, and we left the table full and happy with our choices. The restaurant itself had a clean and vibrant atmosphere, which added to the enjoyable dining experience, especially in the usually hectic airport setting.
However, there was one hiccup that left a bit of a sour note. Due to a mix-up with the server, we were mistakenly charged for an extra food that we never intended to order or take. Though we mentioned we didn’t want the extra item, it somehow remained on our bill, and we only realized after the fact that we had paid over $30 more than we should have. It wasn’t a deal-breaker, but it was definitely disappointing, especially since it could’ve been easily corrected.
Aside from that oversight, the service was decent and the experience mostly positive. Just be sure to double-check your bill before settling up!

Last chance for us to have New England seafood before flying home. I’m not sure I’ve had better clam chowder, and it was a treat to be able to eat fried whole clams. We finished our meal by splitting a piece of Boston cream pie. Overall an excellent lunch, not inexpensive for sure, but quality food for an airport restaurant.

Clam chowder was the only saving grace – creamy and rich. Sorry, I felt the lobster roll was flavorless, and for $50, I expected a lot better. Boston cream pie (not shown) was only ok. I’ve had better from the grocery store. Overall, I would not recommend this place.

Best meal I’ve ever eaten in an airport. Fresh lobster roll jam-packed with lobster meat from tails and claws. Thick, crispy fries, and a solid homemade coleslaw. Excellent local lager. Super wait staff. I watched the Saratoga horse race on a large screen, and chatted with travelers at the bar. Will repeat!

Had a long time before a flight so decided to have lunch in the Terminal.
I’ve been to other Legal’s and been very happy but I wasn’t impressed on this visit.
I was seated fairly quickly even though the place was packed. I had a small table since it was just me. They have a bar/counter option as well.
I ordered the fish tacos and wish I would have tried something else. When it came out, it looked amazing! However, the fish wasn’t crispy and a couple of small bites tasted a bit fishy (like that dark gray part of a fish that is weird). The menu said it had pickled red cabbage and it almost looked like it had it, but It was raw crunchy cabbage that had some really big chunks I had to pull out. Not sure how they missed the “pickling “ on it. The corn tortillas were ok.
The service was ok but nothing rememberable. He took my order, brought my drink and then later brought my check. Nothing in between.
While I wasn’t happy with this experience, it doesn’t seem to represent Legal’s overall. Next time I’m in the Terminal I’ll have to try it again to see if I just visited on a bad day.
