We truly lucked out and found this place! We are so glad we did. Legacy definitely fit the old adage of don’t judge a book by its cover. From the outside. this place is very unassuming. but inside screams “come on in and have a seat”. The place is decorated in old automobile memorabilia and road signs. The service is outstanding. Our waitress was both incredibly helpful and friendly. And let’s talk about the food. Country cooking the way we like it.. The chicken fried steak was amazing and my son devoured the cheeseburger. My wife’s steak was cooked perfectly and the flavor was spot on. The portions were very very generous. They definitely are creating quite the “Legacy” at the little eatery. We will be back.

Went recently for my birthday. I will say my favorite was the mushrooms and fried cheese balls. The mushrooms are just like you get anywhere else, but the cheese balls I’ve definitely never had anywhere else. The other foods my table got, to me, were just alright. The crust on the chicken strips wasn’t even staying on or crunchy. It was soggy and just sliding off. My husband said he enjoyed his burger. I tried the regular fries, but they didn’t seem as great to me as other people made them out to be. Some people really enjoy their food, but I just thought it was ok.

Nostalgic decor with lots of mostly-automotive memorabilia around the room. The service was friendly and efficient. The menu is largely comfort food; it:s done well with generous portions of tasty food. I had the smoked chicken, which was nicely smoked, juicy, and tender. The accompanying cole slaw was finely chopped and had a micely balanced fllavor without any dominant sweet, oily, or mayonnaise taste. My dining companion enjoyed her mac and cheese with lots of nicely smoked and meaty bacon. We watched plates go by piled with steaks and shrimp that looked and smelled delicious.

I met my daughter, son inlaw and grandsons here..
I looked and the pics before deciding to go in.
The atmosphere is totally laid back with all the automotive nostalgia hanging on every wall..
The service was 10, they were very personable and interacted with us like they knew us..
Now the food:
I ordered the 12 oz ribeye w/ salad and baked potato..
My Daughter and Son Inlaw ordered the 8 Oz filet..
My Son Inlaw said it was the best tasting steak he’s ever had
from a restaurant.. I have to agree with him on this. It was seasoned to perfection and very tender.. and to the one’s commenting negatively about what you had.. this is a steakhouse so buy a steak and you will not be disappointed..
You do not go to a chicken place and order a steak for a reason..
Just a short drive off of i-40 turn left onto Broadway and its on the right just before the first intersection,you can park in front of the restaurant but parking is also available across the street after the other businesses are closed..
Just a little hole in the wall thats definitely worth stopping in for..

Definitely quiet hole in the wall.. I got country fried steak, not bad gravy was decent.. it did seem like it was bought pre-made, potatoes seemed processed as well. My husband got wings and said they were okay! Water tasted funny (or I am just used to drinking Memphis water) but tea was GREAT! Service was friendly.. food was good but nothing that made me guarantee a revisit.. if I do, I’ll definitely have to ask more questions regarding prep of food…

Was really good food and the staff is very nice. I ordered the 12oz ribeye and it was so tender I could nearly pull it apart with a fork. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned very well. Will definitely revisit next time I’m around here.

Like someone else said, don’t let the way it looks outside scare you off. Drove by twice, then parked on the side street (small town). Super service, very good food and fun atmosphere with good country music playing. Enjoyed our dinner in Forrest City.

Very delicious they make their own chicken every day. The grilled chicken salad is phenomenal. However, once in a while, the chicken will be too salty, and it will just ruin the entire dish, but all I can honestly say is that I’ve had every single thing on the menu and if they may check their chicken before putting it in the grilled chicken salad to see if it’s salty in the future and it’s not, I’m telling you this place is absolute perfection..

What a great find. We are in town for only a night and found this place and the pics lured us in. The food was so good. We both loved the fries. We had the fish & shrimp and turkey club. And yes they know how to do the bread the way I love it on the club!! Thank you!!
