Some of the best wings I’ve had! They were perfectly crispy, juicy, and I enjoyed all the flavors I got. I can recommend the Old Bay, Sweet Heat, and the gold sauce. Speaking of sauce, the one on the pizza was sweet and flavorful; the garlic dipping sauce was also a welcome addition. The pizza was thick and doughy with crispy edges, the way a pizza of that style should be. My only complaints are that the garlic knots were dry and doughy, as if the dough hadn’t been mixed properly. Additionally, the food is also more on the expensive side, but it beats the cheap chain stuff. Other than that, everything was great!
Update:
Decide to dine in this time. Service was friendly and attentive. I got the gold wings this time instead of just having the sauce on the side, and they were good. The lemon pepper wings were way too salty and it almost ruined them. They serve a different take on a calzone and the sauce comes on the side, not inside, which I recently learned is more traditional. I also tried a bit of fries and they were insanely good. Whatever seasoning they use is like crack. Price was much better this time. Again, just shy of getting those five stars for me, but a solid four.
Update #2:
Just didn’t hit this time and wasn’t nearly as good as the other times. Cajun wings had barely any seasoning and therefore barely any flavor. Chicken parm sandwich was also lacking flavor. Garlic bread was way too cheesy and greasy. Onion rings were good and that house seasoning is still like crack, at least. They forgot one of my garlic sauces too. Overall a disappointing visit this time.
(I did come back another time and got the same chicken parm sandwich, and it was much better. When they hit, they hit.)

First time here and Emma was fantastic! We got the Nucky Detroit style and Dixie Gold wings. We also got a few beers and two different rum cocktail that were delicious. Emma was great at explaining different beers and providing info on other fun things to do in the area.

I loved the service. The waitress even made me my own drink once I told her how. Omg the tavern pizza was so amazing. It is a smaller dining area but they go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. My family and I went to have a dinner after a memorial and before everyone returned to their home states. We all was very impressed.

Nice spot for pizza. Chill mood and music playing, nice relaxed environment. Pizza is really good. The sauce is excellent, not too sweet, and full of flavor. They load up on the pepperoni, so it was a little on the salty side, but I’m pretty sensitive to salt so it may just be me. Next time I will ask for a little less pepperoni to balance it out. We will definitely be back.

Highlight of Morgantown!!!!
Tried their voodoo wings, it is perfection. Flavor is like walking in a forest not knowing where the trail will lead you. Smokey a little, incensey a little, sweet a little, woodsy a little… It came with fries and their fries are worth the try. Very tasty.
Now the pizza, we tried the tavern style pizza.
Quality of the ingredients are shown here. The crust was something to aspire to.
Our server was friendly and inviting, what more could you ask for.

Lefty’s isn’t just the best pizza in Morgantown. It rivals Mineo’s in Pittsburgh for the best pizza I’ve ever had anywhere. Tavern style or Detroit style. It doesn’t matter. The crust, sauce and toppings are tremendous. Great service. We come here every time I drive through Morgantown.

The tavern pie is a wonderful thing and crunchy pizza. The wings and sandwiches are phenomenal as well. Be sure to try the signature items like the addictive fries. The menu is well thought out. The cup and char pepperoni is stellar and sets off any pizza.
The only knock was our pizza took nearly an hour at lunch on a weekend and we were the only table and our drinks ran empty without refills… The wings were spicy (not a knock) and more water was needed. Hoping this was just a one off on our most recent visit.

Pizza was decent. The crust is thick and crunchy. They are very generous with the toppings. Sauce is not overly sweet but a good balance. One pizza is good for two people or one heavy eater. Mother Teresa is just the right amount of heat and packed with blue cheese.
