New menu by Emmer & Rye hospitality.
Hot ham breakfast sandwich— unique for Austin and fried egg served runny without leaking out back immediately 🙂 not spicy
Fried oyster mushrooms— about what you’d expect! Generous breading, very crispy.
Crispy chicken caesar wrap— phenomenal in the savory “Sonoran” tortilla.
Vibes good, new furniture & sports TVs on mute.

First Impression:
We were a group of five on a bar-hopping night, and this place immediately stood out with its fully Halloween-themed walls – spooky, creative, and perfect for the season.
Service & Ambience:
We tried a few of their drinks and while most were good the Old Fashioned felt too strong and didn’t mix well to our liking. The outdoor seating was the highlight – breezy, lively and a great setup to chill with friends. The overall vibe and atmosphere were spot-on, giving off that perfect weekend energy.
Suggestions:
A little balance in the drink mix, especially for classics like the Old Fashioned, would make the experience even better.
Final Verdict:
Score: 8/10
Worth a visit for the vibes and theme alone!

I have so many positive things to say about this place! The service is incredibly welcoming, and my wife and I always enjoy our visits. I really wish they would keep the blueberry margarita on the menu year-round—it’s my wife’s favorite! As for me, I can’t get enough of the Mexican Martini. The food is fantastic, and with the addition of a DJ, the atmosphere is better than ever. We can’t wait to come back!

Can’t say enough negative about our experience. You obviously have many choices when you to go a bar in Austin and you do NOT have to go to Lefty’s. We came into town for the weekend from San Antonio and Lefty’s came up in our IG reels as a must-see in Austin so we naturally added it to the list. We arrived at almost 11 on a Saturday night after a busy Saturday of business. We were told the kitchen just closed- no worries, we ordered cocktails off the Halloween menu and found a table. Much to our disappointment each of our cups were less than half full. The IG ads we had seen made it seem much more enticing than half a cocktail. Nevertheless we wanted to give it a second chance so we came back Sunday to order food. The bartender made it seem like SUCH an inconvenience to take our order despite there being literally one other table in the entire bar. THEN despite us ordering several cocktails and almost $100 worth of food (in addition to $100 the night before worth of cocktails) and there only being ONE other table in the entire bar (AND when we asked the bartender the night before if we could bring in outside food and he told us it was totally fine) the bartender told us to leave when one of the four in our party brought food from an outside food truck into the bar. The food was SEALED, we never opened it, and we had spent well over $200 at their bar AND there was only one other occupied table on a Sunday night. Needless to say we closed out and will NOT be returning. The $75+ we did get worth of food was not worth the money but the attitude from the bartender was absolutely 0 out of 10 stars. Save your money and pick a different bar.

Lefty’s in East Austin is an open garage concept bar that’s perfect for those looking to dance and enjoy a high-energy atmosphere. With a live DJ pumping out deafening beats, it’s not the place for quiet conversations, but the great drinks, fair prices, and killer fries more than make up for it. The open vibe adds a unique edge, making it a go-to spot for partygoers and music lovers alike. If you’re ready to let loose and embrace the noise, Lefty’s is the place to be.

This bar deserves more attention than it earns. The menu and drink list isn’t extensive but it makes up for this in taste. The Drunk in Disneyland is a fantastic rum based smoothie booze cocktail and the best I’ve had of that kind. It’s dangerous. The other drinks are good, but not great. The outdoor area is a lightly covered indoor and larger outdoor area. Parking is available on the street, but arrive early because this is a popular area!

We visited Lefty’s for Rudolph’s Road House. This holiday pop-up features a ton of festive cocktails and amazing holiday decor. This East Austin bar does not disappoint. There’s a second-story bar at the back and almost every drink is served in a holiday cup. Not only do the beverages taste delicious, but they are also strong. Will definitely be coming back after the holidays.
